Rumor Telephone: How The Jim Carrey/Emma Stone And Jada Pinkett/Marc Anthony Stories Escalated
Over the past two days, I have had the strange experience of watching a story blossom from a tiny tidbit into a juicy rumor via my Google Reader headlines. In each instance, the story started innocent, but as different websites composed their headlines, it got more and more salacious. Take for example, coverage of this video Jim Carrey made for Emma Stone.

- The next headline I saw was: “Jim Carrey’s Video Love Letter To Emma Stone“
- The next: “Jim Carrey’s Love Letter To Emma Stone: Creepy Or Hilarious?“

- The next: “Jim Carrey Really Wants To Do Emma Stone“
- And just a few minutes ago, I saw: “Jim Carrey Wants To Bang Emma Stone“

Will Smith And Jada Pinkett-Smith Say The Split Rumors Are Totally False
“Although we are reluctant to respond to these types of press reports, the rumors circulating about our relationship are completely false. We are still together, and our marriage is intact.”
—Will and Jada Pinkett-Smith refute the report that circulated yesterday that they were splitting up after 13 years of marriage. So will this be one of those cases where the rumor goes away, never to be heard from again, or will this be a Nick Lachey/Jessica Simpson case where six months later they say initial reports were actually true? Will Smith And Jada Pinkett-Smith Have Allegedly Separated
Looks like there might be trouble in Bel Air paradise. In Touch is reporting that Will Smith and Jada Pinkett-Smith are separating after 13 years of marriage and two kids together. For the record, neither of their reps have confirmed the story but In Touch says that the news comes from an insider. I’m crossing my fingers that it isn’t true because—TMI about their sex life aside—I like these two together. I like that they met when Jada auditioned for “The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air” back in the day, but didn’t actually get together until years later. If they’ve split, it would sure be ironic considering this quote from Will in 2008. “What I found is divorce just can’t be an option. It’s really that simple. And I think that’s the problem with L.A. – there are so many options. So a huge part of the success for [Jada] and I is that we just removed the other options.” Stay tuned for more. Will Smith and his TMI-spewing wife recently fired the headmaster of their private school. Allegedly, the educational feud with Jacqueline Olivier was over the curriculum for a “Study Technology” class at the New Village Leadership Academy. Will and Jada have denied that the school is all about Scientology, but the word is that Olivier wanted to do some tinkering with the course, even though it was designed by L. Ron Hubbard, which wasn’t cool with Will and Jada. Guess they’ll have to find a new headmaster to teach their kids science fiction?
