Some of the most interesting characters in classic fairy tales (many of which have been translated into Disney films) are the “evil” queens, sorceresses, and crones who are at odds with the precious heroines. For example, in the upcoming film, “Snow White and the Huntsman,” Charlize Theron’s evil Queen Ravenna is so delightfully dark yet glamorous, that we’re already asking, “Uh, Snow White, who?” Seriously, characters like Ravenna, Cinderella’s evil step-mother, the sea witch from “The Little Mermaid,” Maleficent in “Sleeping Beauty,” and Gothel in “Rapunzel” are what give fairy tales their edge — but the question is, which one are you most like?
