Josh Radnor Says Women Are Just More Alluring In New York

“New York and L.A. both have a lot of beautiful women, but in New York that beautiful woman will be reading a book. That, to me, is intensely sexy. If I was going to live in L.A., it would be on the condition that I not sell my soul in order to do that. I deliberately moved to a house that felt away from everything—until a girl from ‘The Hills’ moved next door. The paparazzi were always there and I kept wishing they’d leave. Then she moved.”

—Josh Radnor of “How I Met Your Mother” answers the age old question of whether the women are hotter in New York or Los Angeles. Man, I knew I loved this guy for a reason. [Playboy] Keep reading »

12 Reasons I Love Josh Radnor

Over the years, I have had many celebrity crushes. First, it was Leonardo DiCaprio, who seemed so unbelievably sweet sleeping in the janitor’s closet on “Growing Pains” before the Seavers took him in. Then, like many in the ’90s, I went through a serious Kurt Cobain phase. Next, came Tim Robbins, who I liked for his oh-shucks demeanor and his obvious adoration of Susan Sarandon. For the later half of the 2000s, Jason Schwartzman piqued my interest for not only picking great projects (“Rushmore!” “Bored to Death!”) but for having an awesome band. But now, I have a new celebrity crush. Josh Radnor, of “How I Met Your Mother” and the new flick “HappyThankYouMorePlease.” After the jump, 10 reasons I love Josh. Keep reading »

Guest Star Bonanza: Katy Perry On “HIMYM” And LuAnn De Lesseps On “Law & Order”

It’s a big day for guest star news. First, “How I Met Your Mother” fans have another pop princess to look forward to on the show. Like Britney Spears, Carrie Underwood, Jennifer Lopez, Mandy Moore and Nicole Scherzinger before her, Katy Perry will be appearing in an episode of the show, as a rare breed—a woman who actually piques Barney’s interest. Which means, she’s presumably not the titular mother. I’m starting to think I’m waiting for Santa Claus here. [NY Post]

Meanwhile, LuAnn de Lesseps of “The Real Housewives of New York City” has landed a role on “Law & Order: SVU.” Keep reading »

Cobie Smulders On The Return Of Robin Sparkles

“It’s like a cartoon version of myself. In the ’80s … You should have seen the original version. We had to keep scaling it back because we couldn’t say a lot of things, but it was so much fun to toe that line of, “What can we get away with?” We do this bit where we’re using a joystick during a multiplication lesson and we’re doing lots of fast multiplication questions and we’re jerking the stick around. And I think Nicole had a line like, ‘Boy, it’s getting harder’ and they wouldn’t let us do that. I think it’s because she did it so well being a big ol’ sexy pot.”

Cobie Smulders of “How I Met Your Mother” talks about getting to play Canadian teen idol Robin Sparkles for a third time in yesterday’s episode. She even got a sidekick this time, Jessica Glitter, played by Nicole Scherzinger of the Pussycat Dolls. It was truly a glorious half hour of television. [NY Post] Keep reading »

Cobie Smulders Smolders On The Cover Of Maxim

I don’t usually applaud Maxim magazine covers. But I adore Cobie Smulders, aka Robin from “How I Met Your Mother,” and have always wished she would start getting magazine covers, so I will take it. Also, she looks stunning. And in exciting “HIMYM” news, next week we supposedly get more of the Robin Sparkles backstory. Yeeee! Keep reading »

Carrie Underwood Gets Pooped On When Filming “How I Met Your Mother”

So when I heard that Carrie Underwood would be the next celebrity to guest star on “How I Met Your Mother,” I had no illusions that she’d be an amazing actress. But I wasn’t quite prepared for how, uh, off her comedic timing is in this sample clip. In the episode, which airs this month, she plays a pharmaceutical sales rep—in a flight attendant’s uniform?—who Ted totally falls for. Only she, of course, has a boyfriend. Granted, the line, “I’ve always been this hot — what’re you gonna do?” is a hard one to deliver without sounding like a dolt, but we still think Rachel Bilson would’ve rocked it. We just hope Carrie doesn’t turn out to be Rachel’s roommate—in other words, the mother. All that said, turns out Carrie was the perfect person to handle that adorable teacup piglet. “I got to hang out with the whole cast, dress up like a flight attendant, play a cavewoman and had a baby pig poop on me … that’s right … jealous?” she wrote on her blog of her experience on set. “I’m just glad I grew up on a farm, because I think I was the only one who knew how to hold and wasn’t afraid of a little piglet!” [People] Keep reading »
