Because I’m a jealous and petty person, I can’t stand to read lifestyle/home/craft blogs. Who are these people with endless amounts of free time, money and craft experience who seem to effortlessly turn their homes into the back page of a Martha Stewart magazine? They obviously don’t have cats. I may have mentioned (more than once) that my first cup of coffee is the only thing that can get me out of bed in the morning. Add a cute mug to the mix and I’m practically jumping out of bed when my alarm goes off. Well, maybe not. But this Morning Mug will be the extra incentive I need to get going. When it’s cold, the mug displays a sleepy face. As you warms it with the heat of your coffee and you start to warm up to the day, so does its face. What a brilliant way to begin your morning. Just you and your mug waking up together.
I have great and not-so-great design news. First, the good news:
H&M is finally going the way of their Netherlands-neighbors, IKEA, and rolling out its home line in stores across Europe. H&M zeroed in on three separate color palettes: neutral, nautical (blues and reds with white) and neon/candy striped.
Personally, I’m all about the nautical (have I mentioned the 11 striped shirts and dresses I own? Yes, really.), so sign me up for some of those perfectly-striped navy bed linens!
But don’t get too excited about decking your place out H&M-style, because here’s the bad news: the H&M home decor line has yet to make it over to this side of the pond. But it’s coming, promise! In the meantime, race you to eBay… [WSJ] Keep reading »
