Recently, I have come to terms with the fact that I am probably never going to bang my Fantasy Boyfriend Joseph Gordon-Levitt. I mean, let’s get real: having a crush on a rock star or actor is about as useful as having a crush on a dead guy. Which hello, we have those, too. And despite the fact that most of these dudes are long gone, we still hold a secret candle for them.
Watching the Emmys this weekend, I was totally blown away by how amazing Julianna Margulies looked. “She hasn’t aged a day in 10 years!” I gasped, and then I saw Edie Falco, and thought the same thing, and then Nicole Kidman showed up, and I realized a photo slideshow was in order. Click through to check out side-by-side pics of 12 celebs who, through the magic of sunscreen or Botox or the blood of virgins, look exactly the same (or younger!) as they did a decade ago…
Julie is in Morocco this week, which means I’m covering the Aaron Paul, cute animal, London Fashion Week and Joseph Gordon-Levitt beats in her absence. So. Difficult. Speaking of JGL, here he is looking ridiculously hot in Flaunt magazine. I still don’t think he’s the “new Ryan Gosling,” as Glamour suggested, but I wouldn’t kick him out of bed for eating crackers, that’s for sure.
Look how hot my man looks when he flies. How does he do that? When I fly, I look like something that’s been coughed up. This is why he’s famous and I’m not. I mean, there isn’t much else to say.
Fun fact: I once had an ex-boyfriend who declared himself to be straight as an arrow “except for that blonde guy from ‘True Blood’ — I would totally have sex with him any way he wanted.” After watching this spot for Calvin Klein’s Encounter cologne starring Alexander Skarsgard and Lara Stone, I finally understand. (Also, is it just me or is “Encounter” kind of a bad name for a cologne? It makes me think of Craigslist “Casual Encounters,” which probably is not the brand association CK wants.)
My favorite slow swimmer, Olympic gold medalist Ryan Lochte, was on “The Today Show” this morning, answering questions from Matt Lauer about whether he’s sad to have missed out on Prince Harry’s strip pool game. He also talked about his plans to start training again come Monday, having spent the last three weeks making the most of his downtime. You can watch the interview after the jump, if you have the patience. Or you could just ogle the photos above because, really, is there anything better than a gorgeous himbo cuddling a tiny puppy? I think not. [Photos: Splash News] Keep reading »
This may be hard to believe, but there was once a time when my heart did not belong to Ryan Gosling. I know. Seems impossible right? Well, my affections used to shared by a bevy of actors and rock stars, including Colin Farrell. Remember when Colin was, like, the hot shit? I loved his Irish accent, fun-loving attitude (err, later revealed to be, in part, due to alcoholism), and rugged good looks. Even his sex tape was awesome — the man loved giving going downtown! (Also, if you haven’t heard an Irish man say the word “pussy,” you have not lived.) But then Colin made a bunch of bad movies, checked into rehab, and kind of fell off the map. Well, now he’s back in the “Total Recall” reboot and hotter than ever! Check out his buff physique. Yum yum. [Photos: Fame/Flynet]
This piece was originally published at xoJane. Yes, Amelia is very, very, very jealous.
The first time we met, I had no clue who the short, skinny white guy with the scruffy looking beard was.
It was 2005 and me and two of my besties from high school were catching up at the Golden Gopher, a what’s-that-smell? dive bar in downtown LA with OG video games for tables and no food.
We’d just ordered a pizza from to be delivery right to our Pac Man table when the aforementioned random white boy rolled up.
“Hey girls.” Not used to being hit on downtown (this was waaay before it got cool), I figured he was probably a homeless teenager, but my friends were awestruck. Keep reading »
Someone hand me a pack of Crayola crayons because I am about to apeshit coloring my dream man exactly the way I want him. More selections from the Colour Me Good: Ryan Gosling coloring book after the jump! (And you can buy it for yourself at the link!) [Maiden.BigCartel.com] Keep reading »
