Prince William And Kate Middleton In The Seychelles For Honeymoon

Some secret that was! Prince William and Kate Middleton arrived in the Seychelles this morning for their honeymoon, a spokesperson for the country’s department of tourism confirmed today. The couple will be staying in a “secluded villa” on a private island, the identity of which is unknown. These two understandably wanted to keep their honeymoon between the two of them; Kate reportedly was kept in the dark about the destination so it’d be a total surprise. Oh well. Sometime tells me their exclusive island surrounded by bodyguards won’t be too easy to access. I hope the paparazzi leave Kate and William alone on their Seychelles honeymoon so they can f**k like bunnies in peace. And with villas a reported $6,600 a night, it had better be private. The exact location of Prince William and Kate Middleton’s honeymoon is said to be known by the gossip press, but is being kept a secret out of respect for the couple — in part because Kate reportedly does not know the exact location herself! Cash & Coupling: How To Plan A Honeymoon On A Budget

Looking back on my wedding planning, I realize how many of my decisions were to make other people happy. My day was special and I felt like the star of the show, but I had to make sure that I stayed in budget so my dad wouldn’t have an aneurysm, that the menu wouldn’t trigger any allergic reactions from my guests, and that the band’s play list would make for a party to remember. But when it came to the honeymoon, there was nobody to think of except me and my new husband, and the closer we got to the wedding, the more I couldn’t wait to get out of town. Endless time for sex, zero calls about headcounts, and did I mention tons of sex? I totally began to understand why people elope. Keep reading »

Quotable: Carrie Underwood’s Honeymoon Destination Will Be A Surprise

“That’s Mike’s project. It’s a surprise. I have no clue where we’re going, which is nice. I know it will be warm—that’s it.”

—Carrie Underwood talks honeymoon with People magazine. We bet her fiance, Mike Fisher, will take her somewhere awesome. Let’s just hope it’s not a road trip to see the world’s largest frying pan. Actually, that sounds kind of fun. [People] Keep reading »

Hey! Who Wants To Be A Honeymoon Tester?

The term “dream job” has a different definition for everyone. Mine would include some combination of kittens, meeting famous people, watching a lot of movies, and having people pay to hear what I have to say about those three things. My boyfriend’s dream job is probably to make a living by philosophizing about “Star Trek,” sports, and the supremacy of Dr Pepper over all other sodas. Our differences are obvious. But the website RunawayBrideAndGroom.com may have found an ideal occupation that could appeal to just about anyone. The position in question? A honeymoon tester or, as the site puts it, getting money “to sip champagne, while lying in a hammock slung between two palm trees on a white, sandy beach.” I. Am. Listening. Go on! Keep reading »

Wife With A Life: How I Learned To Quit Worrying And Love My Honeymoon

I was pissed when my uncle announced at our rehearsal dinner, “You know you’re taking your honeymoon during hurricane season, right?” Well, duh! But it was my honeymoon, which meant that everything was destined to be perfect. Unless a certain relative opened up his yap and jinxed it all. Which is exactly what happened. That’s right, I’m blaming Uncle John, not seasonal weather systems moving through the Caribbean, for Hurricane Omar ruining my honeymoon. Keep reading »

The Frisky Wedding Gift Guide: Only Online

ZOMG! It’s wedding season! You know what that means? If you’re getting married, you’ve got to register for gifts and if you’re going to a wedding (or many weddings, as these things tend to come in droves), you’ve got to start purchasing. Most wedding registries are done online these days, but not everyone registers at department stores or home furnishing shops in search of the perfect 15-piece set of pots and pans. A lot of couples go the more unusual route, and register with online stores with specialized wares. Here are five we think are fun.
