It feels so weird to talk about because I don’t know how to answer. A lot of people have compared me to other people who came up when I came up and I don’t know what it is. I think part of it is just me, maybe my family, and the friends that I’ve kept. No one really let me get away with being treated different in my immediate circle of people in my life. That said, I definitely had rough patches. I grew up in the industry. Being an 18-year-old doing what I was doing, even a 20-year-old, you’re searching for your identity. I did it in a public way and it kind of messed with my privacy. I had to take a really long break from everything. I was like, ‘I don’t really care about getting the best role anymore or making a career choice, I just need to step back, be at home, and like hang out like a normal 20-something-year-old person.’
Hilary Duff: she’s a normal, just like us!

“I love it! I would be totally open to it. My schedule is a little busy right now. But um … why not? I mean, so many people loved her. I loved her. Honestly, working on that show, I got so strong with my physical comedy and all the things that they would throw at me. I got covered in goo every week, and I got, like, smashed in the face with a locker every single week. And all this, I mean it was a really, really fun show. And obviously people really loved her. Maybe a “Lizzie: Where Are You Now?” like 10 years later.”
In the midst of promoting her lovely new album, Hilary Duff told the Huffington Post that she would be down for a “Lizzie” reunion, which makes me the happiest camper on the internet because I’m pretty sure the world would greatly benefit from seeing Lizzie, Gordo, Miranda and even Kate on the same screen again. What would Lizzie’s life be like in 2014? Would she be super famous from her accidental moment of Italian pop stardom? Would she be a normal American chick fumbling through her twenties while still clinging to the bubble shirts and bell bottoms of her middle school glory days? Do she and Gordo have a love child? Is Ethan a hair model? So many questions. A reunion full of answers would be what dreams are made of! See what I did there? Clever jokes, you guys. [HuffPost] [Image via AKM-GSI]
Maybe I should be more embarrassed that I’m so excited about this, but for the first time in seven years, Hilary Duff is releasing a new album! Her new single, “Chasing The Sun,” will be released on July 29 along with its music video, and is already available for pre-order. Duff is still at work on the full album, which will come out this fall, and she’s also heading back to TV in the new TVLand series “Younger.” Since making us all fall in love with her as Lizzie McGuire and releasing a slew of pop albums a million years ago, Hilary has gotten married and then separated, had a baby, and even appeared on “Gossip Girl” when the series started to go stale (I totally still watched). Reason #5398 I’m seriously considering buying a pair of white jeans for Spring? Hilary Duff. The starlet has been sauntering around Hollywood for the past few weeks rocking white jeans with a toddler in tow, which makes my worries about spilling something on myself seem awfully silly. I love how she paired the bright white with subtle taupe accessories and an olive military jacket. Perfect transition outfit as the weather warms up (sidenote: Dear Weather, PLEASE WARM UP SOON). Want to steal Hilary’s style for yourself? Check out all the shopping details after the jump!
