The CW has gone guest-star crazy! On last night’s episode of “Gossip Girl,” Hilary Duff and Tyra Banks both had major roles, and socialite/designer Tory Burch popped up in a cameo, as did Georgina Chapman, the designer for Marchesa. Hilary is Dan’s new love interest; she plays actress Olivia Burke who enrolls at NYU and becomes Vanessa’s roommate. She was reasonably decent, but since she’s sticking around for a few episodes, we certainly hope that they’ll upgrade her wardrobe from that ill-fitting t-shirt she donned for most of last night’s episode. We certainly don’t watch “Gossip Girl” for tees! The real story, however, was Tyra.

For the first time in a month, there are not a lot of series premieres happening this week. So, it’s time to sit back, relax, and watch the shows you already love. This week, Tyra Banks and Hilary Duff make cameos on “Gossip Girl,” Rachel Zoe has a “fashion orgasm” in Paris, Jim and Pam get hitched on “The Office,” “FlashForward” gets trippier, and Wanda Sykes makes you say hardy har har. Here’s the best of this week’s television.

Remember when we told you Hilary Duff was going to play a new girl on campus on “Gossip Girl”? Well, she also snagged a gig as spokesperson for the Femme for DKNY Jeans line, and the sneak peek is out. If you’re wondering why these gritty NYC pics are so different from her sugary sweet Candie’s ads, the man to blame thank (!) is none other than the Sartorialist, super-street style photog Scott Schuman. Hilary Duff is officially part of the “Gossip Girl” cast and will start appearing in episodes next season, which premieres October 5th. As hipster Vanessa’s new NYU roomate, Olivia Burke, she is looking for a very “authentic” college experience. Personally, I like that she is set to play a character that’s closer to the way she is in real life, rather than just a new kid on the Upper East Side. She was snatched up after NBC passed on casting her in their new show “Barely Legal.” Let’s hope she gets paired up with a love interest we don’t see coming like, oh, Dan Humphrey. [People]

• During her concert, Beyonce gave her microphone to an audience member so he could propose to his girlfriend. He said, “Beyonce, you told me if I like it, I need to put a ring on it,” and then got down on one knee to ask his girlfriend to marry him. She said yes. • Hilary Duff is reportedly joining the cast of “Gossip Girl” next season. This weekend, the new James Bond movie, “Quantum of Solace,” opened. We’ve already been raving about the spy’s new lady, Olga Kurylenko, but now we want to rant a little about the theme song.  Jack White and Alicia Keyes are both totally awesome in their own right. Jack is the hottest guitar licker of his generation and Alicia’s been kickin’ butt on keyboards since she was a teen. Yet, somehow, when they sing together on the new Bond theme, “Another Way To Die,” it’s like nails on a chalkboard. For the record, the track is hot! It’s just the vocal combo in the chorus that will stop the song from being as big a hit as the movie.  Alas, sometimes, two heads just aren’t better than one. Hilary Duff just unveiled her new video for her new single, “Reach Out,” and she is just dying to shed that good-girl Disney image.  The single was released online this week and can be seen on her MySpace as well as various blogs who have picked it up, to display Hilary’s naughty side.  I have to say that I like the costumes in the video a lot, but it still does feel awkward watching little Lizzie McGuire sing “reach out and touch me” while feeling up a hot man.

Yesterday, Amelia noticed something different about Ali Lohan’s physique, so that got me thinking about how breasts, or a lack thereof, can affect a young starlet’s rise to fame. Here’s a list of celebs whose breasts have affected their careers.

• Soleil Moon Frye is best known for her role as Punky in the television sitcom Punky Brewster. When she was 16, Soleil had breast reduction surgery, going from 36DD to 34C because she had back problems. But knowing our culture, I think she also wanted to be taken seriously as an actress and later as a director.
• To me, Raven-Symone represents a normal body size. She has curves that are proportional to her height, and she’s one of a few thick girls catering to the preteen girl demographic. But every time I watch That’s So Raven, I wonder why her breasts and the rest of her torso are always covered because it makes her look larger than she really is. Then I realized this is a technique to make Raven, 22, look more like a teenager for her roles on that show and in The Cheetah Girls movies. But choosing to cover her curves has led to a malicious debate online: Is Raven fat or all breasts?

Little Ms. Hilary Duff is all grown up, no longer lives at home, is making serious films, and befriending Scorpions. She’s also really coming into her own-style wise. The once adorable pop tart showed up at the 3rd Annual LOVEDAY Cartier Benefit in a striking, strapless blue Phillip Lim dress which she toughened up with a pair of vixen-esque gladiator pumps (we all know these are the end all, be all when it comes to trends at the moment). Hilary balanced the boldness of the dress and shoes by keeping the accessories minimal and unfussy—a chic, scalloped necklace, a cocktail ring, and a muted clutch—and in the end, she created a killer look that you can totally try out for your next big big night out.

Miley Cyrus is reportedly dating her 22-year-old backup dancer, Marshall. There hasn’t been an official confirmation on this, but the two have been caught flirting on camera, and there’s a photo of Miley kissing him on the cheek. Now, that’s only a seven-year age difference, but she’s 15. Has she even “become a woman” yet?
