Most of the ex-contestants of “America’s Next Top Model” go on to, well … fade into obscurity. But not Cycle 10 contestant Fatima Siad. Siad has walked in Dries Van Noten and Hermes shows, and this week, a new Herve Leger ad featuring the gorgeous Somali model was released. Take a long look. [CocoPerez]
“If I had to go back to catwalk presentations I would be in a panic .. .Already the models I find are too skinny, too sad. And I knew the age of the super top models, Linda Evangelista and Cindy Crawford, who were always lively and smiling. Today you go between several défilés and you will see the exact same type of girl — it just doesn’t inspire me. Of course I do presentations, I do three presentations a year: spring, fall and cruise, that I show at my showroom and what I like is to have the buyers come to me. They buy, things sell well, and that really gives me the feeling of existing for something because I know that somewhere out there in the world I have clients that adore what I’m doing and that’s really reward enough.”

If you’re not familiar with Mark, then maybe Ashley will convince you to try the affordable cosmetics when her TV and prints ads launch this fall. But she’s not the only newbie arriving at Avon.
The company is also launching two new fragrances with fashion label Hervé Léger to be called Hervé Léger Femme and Hervé Léger Homme. A body-conscious Hervé Léger dress might not be in your budget, but now you and your boo can get that upscale smell without handing over major dollars. I recently heard that the Herve Leger line by Max Azria now includes swimwear, so I decided to see what all the fuss was about. I flipped through the designer’s 2009 summer swimsuit collection online, but to my surprise, a swimsuit was no where to be seen. Keep reading »
So many fashion shows, so little time. This weekend there were even more runway runaways, with everyone from Diane Von Furstenberg (one of our overall favorites — I am even wearing a thrifted dress of hers today) to William Rast (that’s Justin Timberlake’s clothing line) showing in NYC. After the jump, are some of our favorite looks from Herve Leger (known for his bandage-style dresses), DVF, and Donna Karan’s sportswear line, DKNY. Keep reading »
