The video above is typical beer company fare—hot young thing applies beer flavored lip gloss, guy plants one on her because, well, bro, she’s got beer on her lips. Is there a better way to get guys to make-out than put an alcoholic beverage on your lips? Clearly not, according to Heineken, at least in the world of advertising. Except that this whole situation is real—not just a man-dream—because the beer flavored gloss actually exists. (And it’s not the only bizarre-o gloss out there!) You can even buy it for just under five euros. Would you wear it? [Heineken via BellaSugar] Keep reading »
Heineken ranks up there along Bud and Miller as a “guy beer.” Or at least, they really like to exploit female stereotypes in their commercials. (Hey, we’re not stereotyping by placing “women” with “fashion”—this spread shows the bags on female models and in a women’s boutique.)
Actually, it would seem that Heineken’s environmentally friendly style project is pretty noble. The reusable grocery totes were made from non-recyclable scraps of Heineken’s billboards—waste that would have gone to a landfill. They also thought local by employing a team of Puerto Rican seamstresses, which, Heineken says, helped to create a “micro-enterprise.” We can’t say we’re into the designs, however. They’re just a bit too … masculine, maybe? Murses? [IBelieveInAdv.com] Keep reading »
Behold the European beer giant’s latest ad that’s been airing all over Holland. You don’t need to speak Dutch to get the gist. The scene takes place at a couple’s new home, where the woman is giving her friends a grand tour. The situation quickly turns into a screaming contest between men and women, beer and shoes, as enormous closets of both are revealed. I don’t doubt that most women wouldn’t be stoked over a huge walk-in—it’s just that I kind of want the room full of beer as well.
