Headbands For Dudes?

Why do men keep stealing our garments and accessories? The male headband is another unnecessary male fashion-y thing we hope won’t become a trend. If a guy’s hair is becoming a nuisance because it’s too long, then he should cut it or try a new hair product. I’m guessing the stylist who added the band to this man’s hair was trying to be fashion forward, but this look is a dud. Would you associate with (forget date) a guy that wears a headband? Grammy Awards Bid Adieu To Polka, But We Still Like The Clothes

After more than 20 years of conferring awards on top polka albums, the Grammy Awards is ditching its polka category. The genre has simply become less competitive over the years since the pool of artists in the category is relatively tiny. But let’s not forget about polka entirely, okay? While polka music is a little hokey, the costumes associated with it are inspiring. Keep reading »

Crave: Pip-Squeak Chapeau Etc. Head Band

We’re entering the really cold part of the winter season, when bundling up means more than throwing on a coat. Mischa Barton’s Headband Collection Debuts

Mischa Barton’s long-awaited (ha) headband collaboration with hairwear designer Stacey Lapidus just came out, and it does not disappoint if you are into expensive, bejeweled headgear. The headbands are priced between $90 and $200, and Barton even commented on the various designs with her styling suggestions. For the Vinatge [sic] Jeweled Headband With Silk Ties, she says, “I’ve taken my favorite vintage tiara and put a spin on it. Let it become your own!” Oh, Marisa, we, like, totally will. Fashion Slideshow: Headbands Galore!

Headbands are an accessory often overlooked by grown woman. For sure, certain styles make their wearer look a little innocent, which isn’t always a bad thing. Remember when Winona Ryder sported a headband during her shoplifting trial in 2002? But these headbands are a little more fabulous than the ones you wore in elementary school. They have things like feathers (Have you noticed I have a thing for feather headbands?), jewels, and flowers adorning them, so they’re pretty fancy. Also, they come in handy when your hair is just not cooperating. Keep reading »

Crave: The Toned-Down Version Of Carrie Bradshaw

Sarah Jessica Parker’s headband at the London premiere of SATCmight be a bit much, but, in my opinion, a hint of feather in the hair is quite nice. [Urban Outfitters] Keep reading »
