10 Stars Who Seriously Misbehaved This Halloween

Splash News

Of course we get the real dirt a few days after the big night. Apparently, Mariah Carey and Rihanna had a diva-off on Halloween. Even though Mariah was hosting the party, Rihanna didn’t pay her regards to the songstress, a witness said. And Rihanna’s tiger costume required a security guard to hold up the tail, while Mariah needed six guards to clear a path to the bathroom so her angel wings didn’t get tousled. Sheesh. [NY Post]

What is it about Halloween that brings out the stars’ most ridiculous behavior? Read on for more celebrities who behaved badly on Halloween.

Celebs Wear Halloween Costumes Just Like Us!

Celeb Halloween Costumes

Despite the rain, Halloween was car-razy here in New York City. We saw all manner of witches, goblins, and of course, slutty renditions of just about every character and thing you could possibly imagine shambling down the packed streets. (We’re still traumatized by one particularly debauched Alice in Wonderland.) Celebrities were out in full force, too, and while some resorted to the typical sexy fare, a few others got a little more creative (like Jessica Alba and Cash Warren as “Dora the Explorer” and her pal, Diego). Oh yes, and plenty of them were downright scary. Click through to see 16 celebs getting their Halloween on.

Hollywood Careers Launched by Horror

Hollywood Careers Launched by Horror

Once again it’s Halloween, and for most Americans that means two things sure to make you sick: candy and horror movies. They may not be good for you, but people just can’t seem to get enough of either, which may help explain why so many of our most popular stars got their start in horror movies. Some of the best horror movies ever made have been low-budget flicks churned out to meet the ever-present demand for more horror, and in Hollywood, low-budgets mean unknown actors.

In honor of Halloween, here’s our list of some of the Hollywood careers launched by horror movies. Because before they were famous, they had to make a living the old fashioned way: by shedding blood for our amusement. [PopEater]

Taking Halloween As Seriously As A Wedding

Taking Halloween As Seriously As A Wedding

I love Halloween. I want to believe that everyone loves Halloween—like it’s a universal Tim Burton-style Christmas—and that we all come together, unified, for the sake of weirdness and costumes, zombies, vampires, princesses, and gore. I’m torn, though, on whether I love it enough to take Vogue‘s costume suggestions. For the haute couture undead look that’s all the rage, they suggest booking a professional stylist. The people of MAC, Sephora, Nars, or Henri Bendel will make you fabulous for a price. Some of these ghastly makeovers run over $200. I didn’t even spend that much for my wedding up-do! Silly and frivolous or the expensive style solution for the biggest dress-up day of the year? What’s a ghoul to do?

Rampaging Ewoks Cause Drunken Melee On “The Today Show”

Today, all the morning shows did their homages to Halloween, including “The Today Show,” where Al Roker and company got all “Star Wars” and mistakenly invited some unruly ewoks to the party. Are the ewoks drunk, sober? Children, midgets? Kidding, out of control? Whatever the heck went down, it made for some amusing TV. [Buzzfeed]

Don’t Have Your Halloween Wedding In Sleepy Hollow

Sleepy Hollow Halloween Wedding Cancelled

A few years ago, a vaguely goth friend of mine got engaged to her boyfriend, who is so gothtastic that his name might as well be Azrael. The two of them planned a pretty non-traditional wedding—they wanted to fly to Transylvania and get hitched in a haunted castle. But when they told their parents this, their plans got the kabosh. They ended up getting married in Ohio, instead. Today, I saw another story about a spooky wedding dream that got the smackdown. Lisa Panensky and Jim Nieves have been planning their wedding for over a year. They signed a contract to exchange their vows in the Old Dutch Church in Sleepy Hollow, NY, which you may remember from Washington Irving’s creepy tale, The Legend of Sleepy Hollow. But when the reverend heard this week that they planned to play the theme song from “The Munsters” during their ceremony and that they were going to wear costumes, he canceled their wedding and sent them a refund. What a party pooper. What’s a Halloween-loving couple to do? [AOL]
