It isn’t fair about Halle Berry. So pretty, so talented, so fertile. Sigh. In any case, good for her and congrats to her and Oliver on their impending “surprise” babe. That said, I’m having less than good feelings about the gown she wore to the Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, premiere of her film “The Call.”
The lace is pretty and all, but the weird triangle shape on the top of the dress just kind of isn’t working for me. What do you think? [Photo: Pacific Coast News]
Is Halle Berry prepping for motherhood round two? TMZ is reporting that the 46-year-old actress is pregnant with her second child — her first with beau Olivier Martinez, 47.
Berry, who is believed to be three months along, is expecting a boy with her fiancé of more than one year. Read more on Celebuzz…
More details are trickling out on the Thanksgiving morning brawl between Halle Berry’s ex, Gabriel Aubry, and her current guy, Olivier Martinez. Witnesses say Aubry, who was dropping off daughter Nahla at Berry’s place, was still in the driveway when Martinez approached him and said, “We have to move on,” apparently a reference to Berry’s bitter custody battle with Aubry, the Daily Mail reports. Aubry then allegedly pushed and punched Martinez and a full-on melee ensued, ending with Martinez pinning Aubry on the ground and performing a citizen’s arrest. Aubry “was booked for a private persons arrest for battery,” an LAPD spokesperson confirms to People. Read more…
Here’s a biopic we could get behind: Halle Berry is really, really interested in playing the civil rights activist Angela Davis onscreen. Halle’s been saying in interviews for years that she wants to portray the professor and writer (and a professor a UC Santa Cruz, where Amelia went to school) on film. “Her story is so fascinating. I would love to bring it to the screen,” Halle Berry told InStyle recently. “I would pick her brain to have a better understanding of her affiliation with the Black Panthers and that period from the 1960s.” Hollywood has made more than a few films about the ’60s panic over communism (Davis actually lost her job over her ties to the Communist Party), so why not the Black Panthers, too? Make it happen, Hollywood! [IndieWire]
The bitter custody battle continues for Halle Berry and Gabriel Aubry.
The latest twist? Halle has enlisted help from fellow high-profile mama, Salma Hayek. According to The New York Daily News, Salma submitted a confidential court declaration on Halle’s behalf, arguing that France is a safer place for children of celebrity parents. Read more…
