Do I see a baby bump or not? Halle Berry is the most recent celeb to fall victim to the tabloids’ obsession with everyone being pregnant. But, like the many stars before her, Halle has proved the gossip rags wrong. Her method? Showing up on Jay Leno’s show in a skin-tight ensemble. She said, “I was getting a complex! I was like, I’ve got to stop with the burgers, or something!” [NY Daily News]

Here’s a look at other stars the tabloids swore were pregnant. Only, they weren’t.

• A “friend” of Halle Berry is blabbing about how Halle used in-vitro fertilization to conceive Nahla and used artificial insemination to conceive her rumored second baby. [Dlisted]—Does this mean Gabriel Aubry didn’t want another child?
• LeAnn Rimes has finally announced she’s divorcing her husband. [PopEater]—Not surprised? Neither was I.
• David Boreanaz and his wife, actress Jaime Bergman, welcomed a baby girl named Bardot Vita Boreanaz recently. [Star Pulse]—I’m not sure how I feel about that name. What do you think?

Halle Berry‘s a big fan of the WNBA’s Sparks. The actress/good luck charm went to see her team score a victory last night. But clearly her magic extends beyond the screen, male models, and the court. Halle Berry was photographed wearing a loose-fitting gray dress in L.A. on Saturday. Her mid-section looked a little more plump than usual, fueling rumors that she is pregnant again. Back in April, Halle and Gabriel Aubry were spotted leaving the same fertility clinic they visited before having their daughter Nahla in 2008. If she is pregnant for a second time, I’ll have to eat my words about her relationship with Gabriel being a front for baby Nahla.

African-American women may spend almost eight billion dollars a year on beauty products and cosmetics but they still can’t get no satisfaction. That’s what a new study by Essence magazine revealed. It’s official: Michelle Obama is a Vogue cover girl. The March 2009 issue, which will hit newsstands next week, features the first lady on its cover wearing a Jason Wu dress (the same designer who created her inauguration night gown). Inside the magazine, Obama is pictured at the Hay-Adams hotel in Washington, D.C., wearing a Narciso Rodriguez dress and a J.Crew ensemble. While a number of first ladies have been featured in the so-called fashion Bible, starting with Lou Hoover in 1929, Hillary Clinton is the only other one to make the cover, in 1998. But perhaps what’s more exciting than Obama being the second first lady to be on the cover of Vogue is that she is the fourth black woman to be featured on the cover in the magazine’s history.

I just read the world’s most obnoxious article in The New York Daily News. According to the reporter and his panel of experts/douchebags, short hair on a woman is a total turn-off for men. Unfortunately, this is hardly the first time I’ve heard this and I can’t help but wonder if this “rumor” is the reason why you don’t see many 20- and 30-something women with cropped ‘dos—after all, Halle Berry and Natalie Portman can pull off the look, but they could pull off just about anything and men would drown in a puddle of drool. So, I decided to go to the experts on such matters—the guys on our IM. Of course, I hardly think women should allow THE MAN to dictate what she does with her hair (or body, or, you know anything), but my curiosity compelled me to ask.
