I have a sense of humor. I really do. I even defended evil, bad, un-feminist Tina Fey when she hosted “Saturday Night Live” recently. But, sorry Onion News Network, I don’t crack a smile at this fake news clip, “Iron Man 2 Buzz Heats Up Over Rumors Gwyneth Paltrow Gets Punched In Face.” What, exactly, is funny about the idea of Gwyneth Paltrow getting punched in the face? “I was so bad with the food and alcohol in Nashville. If you saw me naked compared to what I looked like when I did ‘Iron Man 2,’ when I was exercising every day—I’ll get it back together, but I’ve never eaten so much fried food and white flour in my life, ever. … [Chris] was so helpful, so sweet and encouraging. I mean, it’s embarrassing to be playing in front of your husband, especially when he’s in one of the world’s most successful bands.”
—Gwyneth Paltrow tells Harper’s Bazaar about her experience filming “Love Don’t Let Me Down,” in which she plays an alcoholic country star hitting rock bottom. We’re guessing “never eaten so much” means she ate a single piece of fried chicken and a biscuit. But will she get the Oscar for singing on screen? [Bazaar via People] Keep reading »
“Oh yes, I can be mean. I can cave in to gossip. I can ice people out and I can definitely harbour revenge. In fact, I’m having a situation right now with a friend where I’m feeling pretty angry. But revenge is corrosive and it doesn’t make me feel good. I’ll wake up in the morning and think, ‘Ugh, I feel terrible’, and suddenly realize, ‘Ah, that’s why. I’m holding on to so much hate.”
– Gwyneth Paltrow dishes to Vogue UK. Hey Goopy, guess what else is kind of corrosive? Talkin’ smack about having beef with a friend in a major magazine instead of keeping the biz between the two of you — because now I am tempted to guess who you’re talking about. Madonna? Or William Joel? We know it’s not your EX-bestie, Winona. Hmm… [Just Jared] Keep reading »
Seems like all those rumors about Gwyneth Paltrow‘s diva behavior on the set of “Iron Man 2″ might turn out to be true. If her tiny spot at the bottom of the characters’ pyramid is any indication, the studio was none too pleased with Ms. GOOP. Even ScarJo‘s bum seems more important. Well, at least Gwyn’s name comes second. [MySpace] Keep reading »
Gwyneth Paltrow isn’t shy about giving advice on homemade beauty recipes, but she really enjoys doling out food advice. Gwyneth has this weird way of bragging about her detoxes, love of raw foods, and macrobiotic diet that is meant to make the rest of us feel shameful about scarfing down a Five Guys cheeseburger. So I was devilishly happy to learn that Gwyneth is indeed human and occasionally indulges her cravings. While in Tennessee filming “Love Don’t Let Me Down,” Gwynnie partook in fine Southern cuisine, including fried chicken, chicken sliders, sweet potato fries, biscuits, and oysters. And of course, she posted all of this on her GOOP website, where she gushes about several restaurants. “At the Loveless Cafe, their food is delicious, a traditional southern heart attack,” she writes. Supposedly, Gwyneth sought comfort from food because her family wasn’t around. [OK! UK] Keep reading »
One intrepid Daily Green blogger ventured to find out by taking a step into the privileged world of Gwyneth Paltrow’s GOOP and road-testing the star’s highly recommended
starvation “cleansing” diet. She even lived to tell the tale, and the results might surprise you.
Writer Jenny Muller readily admits the ridiculousity that GOOP so often encompasses. Her description of reading it is astute, to say the least … Keep reading »
Celebrities really care about your health. No really, they do. This year alone, Fergie tried to get you to take shots of vinegar daily, Suzanne Somers tried to get you to stop taking birth control pills, and Gwyneth Paltrow tried to get you to eat, well, pretty much nothing. But just because they’re famous doesn’t mean you should take their advice. A British group called Sense About Science has published an annual brochure, “Science and Celebrities,” which looks at some of the health claims made by celebs in 2009 and gets experts to weigh in. What’d they find? The deets after the jump.

Have happy memories of your mom picking you up from school when you were little? (Unless you were a latchkey kid like some of us, in which case you are screwed up for life, but anyway.) One thing we do not remember is mom wearing ultra stylish designer clothes to the school grounds. Here, Gwyneth Paltrow looks deceivingly casual whilst collecting little Apple and Moses, but look again! That dressed-down fleece pullover? It’s actually called the Cocoon, it’s by Obakki, and retails for $782 at Scoop Nationwide. Why, we can’t even remember the last time we spent 800 bucks on a sweater. [Popsugar] Keep reading »
