Zuma Rossdale Rocks Captain America Suit, Gets A Pedicure

What is that? It’s the sound of Zuma Rossdale, Gwen Stefani‘s adorable 3-year-old son, trying to oust Shiloh Jolie-Pitt from her current spot as Kate’s Favorite Celebrity Kid. For his birthday, Zuma dressed up in a Captain America costume and went with mom to get a manicure and pedicure. He choose red and blue nails, of course. This photo—and the memory of Shiloh’s military garb—makes me long for the days before kindergarten, when gender distinctions just weren’t a big deal and you could wear a costume out just because. [E! Gwen Stefani Kills It At Cannes

Oh God, I am so embarrassed. You’ve caught me drooling. I’ve been starring at this picture of Gwen Stefani at the amfAR gala at Cannes and didn’t even realize I was salivating. She looks so chic — and it’s her own design. Yep, this black halter-neck, mermaid-train gown, with gold belt detail, is from her L.A.M.B. line. Someone needs to be dressing actresses for the Oscars next year! Dang, remember when she used to wear nothing but cut-off white tank tops?

This wasn’t even the first show-stopping number Gwen wore this week in France — after the jump, two more dazzling looks. Keep reading »

Gwen Stefani’s Middle Name Is “Vain”

“I’m very vain. That would be my middle name. Of course I am, you know what I mean? I love the visual.”

Gwen Stafani in the May issue of Elle. I don’t know exactly what she means. Is she saying she loves the visual of herself? Or that she is obsessed with the way things look? I don’t think that necessarily makes you vain. It’s lovely that Gwen is willing to cop to her vanity, but I’ve always thought she comes off as down to Earth — even though she always looks impeccable. I strive to master that skill. I guess I’m vain too. [Elle] Keep reading »

Gwen Stefani’s Galliano Gown Is In A Museum

Well, whoops! In this month’s British Elle, Gwen Stefani gushes about her Christian Dior wedding dress, designed by none other than the infamous John Galliano. “When I got engaged and someone told me that John said he would make my dress, I was like, really?” the star told the magazine. “I said I wanted it to be over the top, but not traditional — I wanted it to be everything. But how do you tell this genius over the phone? He was, like, OK, and sent me these drawings of this unbelievable, perfect dress. It’s going into the V&A [Victoria & Albert Museum] now. I didn’t want to send it because I was scared it would get ruined. But it’s a work of art, it needed to be seen.” Of course, this was all before the big anti-Semitic scandal broke out, but still, we imagine it’s gotta make Gwen squirm just a little. Tavi Interviews Gwen Stefani For “Teen Vogue”

Freelance writing may have dried up for a lot of journalists, but the well has not yet run dry for Tavi. The 14-year-old fashion blogger got a gig a million girls would die for interviewing Gwen Stefani about her L.A.M.B. line for Teen Vogue! Writing in the February issue, Tavi initially revealed herself to be wary of celebrity-designed lines. “I can’t say I’m enthusiastic about the recent celebrity-turned-designer trend. In fact, I’m a skeptic,” she wrote. “Too often I feel people are expected to drop a couple hundred dollars just because X celebrity was good in Y sitcom, thus somehow making X’s design abilities top-notch.” Agreed. (Sorry, LiLo, but your products suck.) Keep reading »

Frisky Q&A: Gwen Stefani Talks Harajuku Lovers Fragrances & Being A Working Mom

Gwen Stefani will launch five more Harajuku Lovers fragrances, called Wicked Style, Nov. 1. This time around, G and the Harajuku Girls — Love, Lil Angel, Music, and Baby — are back in Tokyo on Takeshita-Dori, a pedestrian-only street where fashionable people go to chill, and are dressed in fashions that originated in Japan — gothic Lolita, sweet Lolita, visual Kei, Kawaii, and Omotesandō girl. Gwen loves building a story for her Harajuku Girls perfumes as much as she enjoys creating perfume bottles that double as works of art. But what’s it like to create five fragrances at a time when it takes other celebrities years to create just one? A few other bloggers and I had the chance to chat with Gwen backstage at her L.A.M.B. spring 2011 fashion show, where she talked about the new Wicked Style fragrances, being a mom and designer, and her personal beauty choices.
