The Girls Of “Community” Bust Out The Retro Lingerie

Community” is hands down one of my favorite shows on television, and Alison Brie and Gillian Jacobs are so, so brilliant in their roles as uptight Annie and posh girl Britta, respectively. So it makes me a touch sad that one of the few ways they can get space in a magazine is to put on lingerie and pretend to spank each other with hairbrushes. But then again, this photo is hot. And they do have a sense of humor about it. “With a shoot like this, you’re negotiating these positions together,” said Alison. “‘Can you move your crotch a little to the left? Really get it up there.’” Gillian adds, “The next day we were texting each other, ‘Are you sore, too?’” So I guess I approve. [GQ] Keep reading »

Joe Manganiello Dreams Ruined By Naked Chick

Because Alcide is so hot that he makes my teeth sweat, I was very excited when I saw that Joe Manganiello of “True Blood” was going to be modeling “7 ways to dress for beach-faring weather” in GQ magazine. However, when I went to look at the images, my dude was surrounded by not one but two hot women, one of them naked and wearing a camera around her neck. Sigh. Fantasy over! Keep reading »

Is Chris Evans’ Profile In GQ Awesome Or Out Of Line?

I wasn’t expecting too much when I cracked the spine on the latest issue of GQ and began to read the cover story of Chris Evans. Captain America has always struck me as, well, pretty boring. But the article, written by Edith Zimmerman of The Hairpin, ended up being fascinating if a bit solipsistic. Basically, it’s about the reporter’s flirtation with Evans, which starts innocently enough but builds to him inviting her to parties, introducing her to his mom, and eventually being called the “mystery maiden” on his arm by the NY Daily News. It ends with the writer getting drunk at his house, passing out in a guest bedroom, and eventually climbing out a window to get a cab home.

Here, some choice excerpts. Keep reading »

Kris Humphries Kicks It Old Skool

What a coincidink. Just as we find out that Kris Humphries popped the question to Kim Kardashian amidst mini-horses doused in glitter, the New Jersey Nets star also makes an appearance in GQ modeling swim trunks. And man, does he do a good job of it. Kris is my favorite type of hot—sweet, baby face up top with a hot body below. And since I couldn’t pick my favorite photo, there’s one more after the jump. Enjoy. Keep reading »

Quickies: “Botox Mom” Says She Was Lying & Rashida Jones In Lingerie For “GQ”

  • Kerry Campbell, the mother who said she gave her her eight-year-old daughter Botox so she could compete in beauty pageants, now claims she made everything up. In fact, she says her name isn’t even Kerry Campbell! A woman named Sheena Upton claims she is an actress who was offered $200 by The Sun, a tawdry British tabloid, to “play the role of Kerry Campbell” for an article. Upton/Campbell’s daughter was removed from her home by Child Protective Services, then returned after the girl was examined by doctors. Media outlets who interviewed Upton/Campbell, like “Good Morning America” and “Inside Edition,” are now scrambling to figure out her true identity (and the rest of the truth!). [TMZ]
  • Victoria Beckham is reportedly booked to deliver her daughter via C-section in Los Angeles on July 4th. Is Victoria too Posh to push? (Get it? Ha ha.) Also noteworthy: Victoria and David Beckham have denied reports that they are naming their new daughter “Atlanta.” [Daily Mail UK]
  • Every issue of Playboy, dating back for the past 60 years, is now available on the iPad’s new iPlayboy app. In other words, it just got 700 percent more likely that you’re going to catch someone looking at porn when you don’t want to. [Mediabistro]

Behold, Lady Gaga Paper Dolls!

GQ, a men’s magazine (gay men’s magazine?), debuted it’s very own set of Lady Gaga paper dolls today. (scratches head quizzically) Wouldn’t it just be easier to wrap a slice of bacon around a Barbie doll and shake its head around in dust collecting at the bottom of your makeup bag? Zach Galifianakis Knows What Is Wrong With Our World

“The world has never been more screwed up than it is right now. Except maybe during the wonder years. I think it all started with Fred Savage and that whole thing he did with Savage Garden… Technology is also overrated. It’s making our society less private. Like, I would advise people that while it’s okay to tweet about your paper-towel purchase, I really don’t want to know about what shape your stool is in.”

Zach Galifianakis is on the new cover of GQ and inside he waxes philosophic on the state of the world via a series of hilarious fill-in-the-blanks. I hope Fred Savage doesn’t star receiving hate mail over this. I used to have the biggest crush on that guy. [Just Jared] Keep reading »

Channing Tatum, With And Without Shirt

Behold, Channing Tatum looking smoking hot in the March issue of GQ. This photo spread should put to bed rumors that he chubbed up after filming “The Eagle.” Apparently, the not-released-yet interview that accompanies the photos is even better. In it, Channing reveals why he became a stripper, calls Jagermeister the “nectar of the gods,” and tries to find his cell phone after a night of debauchery. [PopEater]

Gleek Dianna Agron Defends Her GQ Cover

“In the land of Madonna, Britney, Miley, ‘Gossip Girl,’ other public figures and shows that have pushed the envelope and challenged the levels of comfort in their viewers and fans, we are not the first. Now, in perpetuating the type of images that evoke these kind of emotions, I am sorry. If you are hurt or these photos make you uncomfortable, it was never our intention. And if your eight-year-old has a copy of our GQ cover in hand, again I am sorry. But I would have to ask, how on earth did it get there? … These aren’t photos I am going to frame and put on my desk, but hey, nor are any of the photos I take for magazines … If you asked me for my dream photo shoot, I’d be in a treehouse, in a wild costume, war-paint and I’d be playing with my pet dragon.”

—Dianna Agron, aka Quinn on “Glee,” responds to folks being up in arms over her risque shots in the November issue of GQ. I hope some magazine is working on that pet dragon concept as we speak. [Fell Down The Rabbit Hole] Keep reading »

Gleek alert. Dianna Agron (aka Quinn), Cory Monteith (who you know as Finn), and Lea Michele (duh, Rachel) are on the cover of the November issue of GQ. Doesn’t this photo seem sorta familiar? Find out what it reminds us of after the jump. Keep reading »
