Quotable: Drew Barrymore Brought Gucci Down

“Never wear a high neck dress with a high belt. It makes your t*ts look like they are at your waist. I’m so sorry, Gucci, I have tarnished your name.”

Jennifer Aniston Pulls Classic Angelina Style Move, Gets Skewered

Poor Jennifer Aniston. Though I’m firmly on Team Angie (I’m sorry, but I can’t suffer through any more of your crappy rom-coms, Jen), I do feel kinda bad about the following: In scrutinizing her Golden Globes dress, a couple of press members have observed that major thigh-baring gowns are an Angelina Jolie red carpet staple, and Aniston has clearly copied her!

“Chalk it up to monkey-see, monkey do, imitation being the sincerest form of flattery or a subtle message from Jen to Angie that ‘anything you can do I can do better.’”

Oh crikey. Can’t a girl just wear a dang dress? To add insult to sartorial injury, others have not-so-subtly called her fat. [New York Daily News ]

Stars Behaving Badly At The Golden Globes

Yeah, yeah—the Golden Globes were an excuse for Hollywood’s finest to put on their classiest frocks, prepare touching acceptance speeches, and shower their peers with compliments and adulation. But who cares about that stuff? After the jump, see who got drunk, who sucked face, and who went crazy over the swag. Keep reading »

Is Hollywood Embracing Curves?

Only a few short months ago, we were talking about Hollywood boobs. Or, more accurately, the lack thereof, when we noticed that more and more, celebs were joining the itty-bitty titty committee. After the Golden Globes, however, some see the trend reversing. Writes one New York Times blogger who saw an emergence of curves on the whole:

“Maybe it’s just me, but I could have sworn that some of the ladies who showed up at the Golden Globes on Sunday had put on a little weight. It’s almost criminal to name names, because the very actresses whose body-mass indexes have been the subject of endless tabloid speculation are the very ones now sporting sexier curves. You could definitely see the difference if you concentrated solely on the upper arms … ”

Quotable: Justin Was The Cherry On Top Of Gabourey Sidibe’s Golden Globes Sundae

“The way I feel about the Golden Globe nomination versus Justin Timberlake announcing it … it’s like the nomination is That’s How I Roll from Cold Stone Creamery and Justin saying my name is like cherries on top of That’s How I Roll from Cold Stone Creamery.”

Oprah Helps Kate Winslet Celebrate Her Golden Globes

Oprah loves Kate Winslet as much as we (and Leo DiCaprio) do! On yesterday’s episode, O interviewed the winner of two Golden Globes and expressed her, uh, appreciation for the star’s own orbs. Clip above! And transcript below:

“I love the fact that you have real breasts, ’cause in all the breast scenes, your breasts do what real breasts do…There’s that wonderful thing, you know, if you are a woman, you’re lying on your back, your breasts they go to–they part–but if you look at a woman with not real breasts, their breasts are sticking straight up. That’s how you know. God bless your real breasts!”

Hot Golden Globes Trend: Side Burns, Goatees, & Beards, Oh My!

(Top Row: Mickey Rourke, Johnny Depp, Brad Pitt; Bottom Row: Ashton Kutcher, Diddy, Colin Farrell)

They may need to change Hollywood to Holly Woods after the man-beasts of Tinseltown showed some serious scruff at last night’s Golden Globes. From lumberjack-like beards to “Johnny Be Good” side burns, I bet there was more hair on hunky faces than bush on starlets’ va-jay-jays. And some of the whiskers were seriously sexy! Here are our facial hair highlights from the Golden Globes. Keep reading »

Does Kate Love Leo TOO Much?

Watching Kate Winslet’s acceptance speech last night for her Best Actress Golden Globe award, I was struck by several things. First, my God, the woman has tremendous skin. What do you think is her secret, besides, you know, regular facials, expensive creams and living the good life? Second, was that an orgasm Kate was having as she stepped on stage? If so, does that make her the first person in history to experience a live, televised climax during an awards ceremony? Is there a separate award for that? Third, do you think Kate would seem as elegant and lovely if she spoke with, say, a thick Jersey accent? And fourth, Kate really, really loves her some Leo. She loves him so much, in fact, it’s a bit, well, awkward. All her gushing (“Leo, I’m so happy I can stand here and tell you how much I love you and how much I’ve loved you for thirteen years.”) even elicited some nervous laughter from the audience, which got me thinking: what are the rules for platonic male-female friendships? Is there a line — especially when either party is romantically involved with someone else — that shouldn’t be crossed? Who decides what the line is? And if there’s a line, did Kate cross it last night when she told Leo, “I love you with all my heart, I really do” as her husband sat by and watched? Keep reading »

Five Things To Know About Sally Hawkins

Sally Hawkins beat nominees Meryl Streep, Frances McDormand, Emma Thompson and Rebecca Hall for best actress in a musical or comedy at last night’s Golden Globes. She picked up the award for her role as a schoolteacher in Michael Leigh’s “Happy-Go-Lucky.” Although Hawkins has been acting on stage, film, television and radio since about 1999, she hasn’t been on our radar. But her win, not to mention her, uh, extremely thin frame, caught our attention, so we thought it fitting to honor her by learning a few things about this soon-to-be household name. Keep reading »
