An Ode To Brittany, Our Favorite Gleek

Holy “Toxic” “Baby One More Time!” Tonight is the big Britney Spears episode of “Glee.” We are obviously excited for Britney‘s appearance as dentist John Stamos’ receptionist—after all, BritBrit’s guest-starring roles are usually awesome. But we’re even more excited because our favorite “Glee” character, Brittany, will finally get her chance to shine. Keep reading »

Listen To The Songs From The Britney Spears Episode Of “Glee”

I’m gonna go out on a limb and say that next week’s Britney Spears episode of “Glee” is the most wildly anticipated hour of television happening this fall. And for those who can’t stand to wait, you can click here to hear the five songs that will be appearing in it. We’ve got “Baby One More Time,” which will be performed by Lea Michele in schoolgirl costume, complete with bare navel. We’ve got “Me Against the Music,” which will have Britney facing off the New Directions’ own Brittany. There’s also “I’m A Slave 4 U” and “Stronger.” But wait, what’s this fifth song? “The Only Exception.” That’s not Britney—that’s Paramore. Silly Ryan Murphy. Should’ve gone with “Toxic.” Keep reading »

Gleek Out With “Glee” Spoilers

Last night’s season premiere of “Glee” went by fast. Too fast, if you ask me. When the scenes from next week popped up, I was confused because I thought I’d only been watching for half an hour. We met Shannon Beiste, the new football coach and embodiment of the stereotypical female gym teacher, who is gunning to get her hands on both the Cheerios’ and New Directions’ budgets. We met Sam Evans, the new football star who rocked out to “Billionaire.” And we met Sunshine, who vocally battled Rachel with Lady Gaga/Beyonce‘s “Telephone” in the bathroom. But will the latter two be joining glee club? Doesn’t look that way—Vocal Adrenaline snags Sunshine while Sam just wants to play football.

But, we want more. MORE. So after the jump, some spoilers for the rest of the season. Keep reading »

The “Gleeks” Do “Empire State Of Mind”

The second season of “Glee” begins next Tuesday. And to get us in the mood, they’ve released their first single of the season—Finn, Puck, Mercedes, Rachel and the crew doing Jay-Z and Alicia Keys’ “Empire State of Mind.” Why? Because they are heading to Nationals in New York City. Prepare your slushies. Keep reading »

In Case You Don’t Get It, Kurt On “Glee” Is Gay

How gay is Kurt on “Glee”? He’s so gay that in this dive bar fantasy shot from Rolling Stone he’s surrounded by a bunch of luscious leather daddies. That’s how gay. [Rolling Stone Keep reading »

Did Santana Punk Puck?

Rumored “Glee” couple Naya Rivera and Mark Salling are either really into high school pranks or really on the rocks. Naya allegedly keyed Mark’s Lexus after she and a girlfriend covered it in eggs and dog food. Keep reading »

Kings Of Leon And Others Who’ve Turned Down “Glee”

It feels like Ryan Murphy gets just about anything he wants for the ratings juggernaut that is “Glee.” Britney Spears is currently on set, posting about how “GLEEKERIFIC!!!” it is. And for the fall, the show also has guest spots lined up for heavy hitters like John Stamos and Jennifer Lopez. But, on occasion, people do turn the show down. Kings of Leon has just revealed that “Glee” requested to use one of their songs—I’m guessing “Use Somebody.” But the rockers said uh-uh. “We could have sold out so much more,” said bassist Jared Followill. “We turn stuff down constantly.” [EW]

After the jump, more folks who just said no to “Glee.” Keep reading »

It’s Britney And Brittany Against The Music On “Glee”

As Britney Spears keeps reminding us via Twitter, she is having a “GLEEKERIFIC!!!” time on the set of “Glee.” Yesterday, she posted this photo of her with Heather Morris, aka Cheerio Brittany, and it sure looks like they’re doing “Me Against The Music,” with BritBrit assuming Madonna’s role and Morris taking hers. “All my GLEEKERS in the crowd, Grab a partner take it down,” she captioned the pic. Radio Station Goes All “Glee” All the Time

British “Gleeks” are celebrating the creation of an all-”Glee” radio station. Oxford, U.K.’s “New Directions”-themed station only plays songs recorded by the cast of the hit Fox show. That means its musical roster is limited to around 180 tracks — of everything from Journey’s anthemic “Don’t Stop Believing” to Lady Gaga’s poppy “Alejandro.”

While that doesn’t seem like a lot of songs, keep in mind that the average radio station keeps around 150 songs in rotation at any given moment. Station managers are hoping to attract 30-something women with the “Glee”-ful programming. Now if only they could somehow send us Finn through the radio waves … [NY Post] Keep reading »

Quotable: Lea Michele On Her Ideal “Glee” Guest Star

“Justin Timberlake would be the perfect ‘Glee’ guest star: He sings, he dances, and he’s hilarious.”

– Lea Michele on who she’d like to see appear on “Glee.” I don’t watch the show, but I have to co-sign this. Given how hugely successful Justin has been as a “Saturday Night Live” host, I can only imagine what he’d do if he got to combine his sense of humor with his singing and dancing abilities at the same time. The world might implode. [via Just Jared] Keep reading »
