“Real Housewife” Nene Leakes Kicked Some Ass On “Glee”

"Glee" Spin Off
Lea Michele and Chris Colfer are going solo. Read More »

In a “Glee” episode plagued with cheesy as hell plot lines (Mr. Shue wants Finn to be his best man? Coach Beiste got married in Vegas? What?), last night’s highlight was Nene Leakes as tough-talking synchronized swimming coach, Roz Washington. I didn’t know what to expect, but I am happy to report that the “Real Housewife of Atlanta” star rocked her cameo with wry one-liners like, “If you pee in my pool, I will kill you.” You can watch a clip of her scene here. I hope we see her again this season. I like watching her act better than I like watching her act like herself. What did you think of Nene’s acting debut?

Finally, New Episodes Of “Glee,” “New Girl” & “Raising Hope” Return

Hi, did you have plans for this evening? I did, but then I canceled them because A) it’s pouring rain, B) it’s freezing out, and C) Fox is airing new episodes of “Glee,” “New Girl,” and “Raising Hope” tonight. So I’m making excuses and going home to sit around in my undies, paint my nails, and watching the boob tube like the rockstar that I am.  Keep reading »

Nobody brings joy to the world quite like the cast of “Glee“. If you’re a Gleek at heart, or if you’re just a sucker for the holiday spirit, you’ll want to deck the halls this season with “Glee’s” new album, Glee: The Music, The Christmas Album Volume 2 due out November 15. Theory: If The Gleeks Went To College, They’d Rule Their Respective Campuses

As the kids of McKinley High School enjoyed their summer vacations, much ado was made of the fact that—come tonight’s season premiere—Rachel Berry (Lea Michele), Finn Hudson (Cory Monteith) and Kurt Hummel (Emmy nominee Chris Colfer) will be seniors. Meaning that at the end of the season, they’ll graduate. “We didn’t want to have a show where they were in high school for eight years,” creator Ryan Murphy said in June. “We thought it would be really cool if we were true to the timeline.”

Murphy explained that he didn’t want to use the television trickery most high school shows employ to solve this problem—make all your main characters magically land at the same college, a la “Beverly Hills, 90210″ or “Buffy the Vampire Slayer.” Keep reading »

Ooh, Fashion! “Glee” Pays Tribute To Fashion’s Night Out

I really want to like “Glee,” but I can’t deal with all the musical interludes. Too much singing! Too much Lea Michele, who seems like she’d be that totally over-dramatic neurotic friend who’s always crying in public. But this video of the cast performing David Bowie’s “Fashion” in honor of next month’s upcoming “Fashion’s Night Out” is a perfect little dollop of the series. Plus, who doesn’t love some Sue Sylvester? Though we really wish they’d just let Chris Colfer (love you Kurt!) take the lead on this one, it’s nice to see everybody all dressed up and strutting their stuff. [YouTube] Keep reading »

  • Courtney Love, who’s had her own battle with drug addiction, says she tried to help Amy twice and that she is “gutted” by her death. [Rolling Stone]

Lea Michele And Chris Colfer To Get A “Glee” Spin-Off?

Yesterday, Ryan Murphy announced that, after the upcoming season, he’d be letting three of the principal characters of “Glee” go: Lea Michele (Rachel Berry), Cory Monteith (Finn Hudson), and Chris Colfer (Kurt Hummel). The reasoning? They would be graduating from McKinley High, and Murphy wants to keep the show true to life and not have students stick around for eight years. But apparently, these dismissals were news to the actors. Chris Colfer—who was just nommed for an Emmy for the show—said he found out via Twitter. “I didn’t necessarily know that it was going to be our last season next year,” he said. “I don’t necessarily want to leave so soon. But, I mean, it’s fine. It’s what it is. And all things come to an end.” [NY Daily News]

Not so fast. It appears that two of these three won’t be hitting the unemployment line. Keep reading »
