We spend tons of time (and money) washing, toning, and moisturizing our faces to keep them smooth and free of blemishes and fine lines, but most of us just slap on any ole body moisturizer. When we’re old and gray, our faces will be oh-so-smooth, and our limbs will be covered in wrinkles. But not if we slather on Hissyfit Body Double Moisturizer With Anti-Aging Ingredients and SPF 30. The mix of anti-inflammatories and anti-oxidants means our skin will be protected and improved in just one step. Plus, the lotion, which is scented with vanilla, almond, orange, and grapefruit essential oils, smells light and isn’t sticky or greasy. [$45, Dermstore]
We’re giving away five bottles of Hissyfit Body Double Moisturizer With SPF 30+, but you have to work if you want your skin to look good. The five best commenters for this coming week—from today, Friday, Nov. 20 through Thursday, Nov. 26—will be awarded with one. So, be as clever, smart, and original as you can! Though Martin Margiela is a huge recluse, the brand is getting a very recognizable face, in the form of Michael Stipe from R.E.M. He’s designed a silver microcassette as a form of jewelry. But the really fun part with this is that he’s leaving it all up to the wearer. Fashion it like a necklace, use it on a headband, attach it to your shoelaces—it’s all up to your creativity. “The microcassette can not be defined as either a piece of jewelery or an art object,” a Margiela spokesperson said. “It’s both and neither at the same time. It can be worn or displayed in any way the wearer and owner desires.”

From “Republicans Do It Better” to Obama’s “HOPE” T-shirts, we love it when politics and fashion mix. The fleur-de-lis, a popular symbol on coats of arms and flags in Europe, is a silhouette staple, and it looks precious on this pendant—much cuter than Election Day screen prints. [$39, Zulasurfing]
Zulasurfing is offering Frisky readers 10 PERCENT OFF from today, Nov. 19, to Thursday, Dec. 31. Simply click here, and you must enter coupon code FriskyDeal at checkout to receive the discount in the form of a credit after purchase. Check back daily for more Season’s Savings discounts!
One of the good things about shopping at a store that’s meant for teens and early-20-somethings is that they have fashionable stuff that’s much cheaper than designer clothing. American Eagle Outfitters has the aesthetic of Ralph Lauren (well, sort of), but the prices of the Gap. Check out some of our faves from AE after the jump. I’m already planning a mini shopping spree this afternoon.
Shu Uemura’s Limited Edition Portable Brush Set is the perfect purse stuffer for a morning on the run. With lip, cheek, face, and eye brushes all packed into this pretty gold case, it may just inspire us to get made up on the go more often. [$85, Shu Uemura]

Want to put a little piece of Paris in your pocket? Check out French makeup company Bourjois’ limited edition collection of eyeshadows and blushes, called “Rendez-vous à Paris.” Each compact features a vintage-inspired illustration of a Paris monument or landmark. A shimmery silver hue shows a picture of the grand opera house; a sultry black accent shadow comes with a faux old-fashioned photograph overlooking the Seine; the packaging for the Rose d’Or blush depicts the Eiffel Tower.
They’re only around for a little bit, so grab one up quickly. They’re the perfect stocking stuffers (or just a très chic present for yourself). [About $10 each, Asos.com]
Well, or so we thought. Olympia Le Tan’s canvas, brass, felt and silk thread clutches feature first-edition covers of 21 different classics are certainly “different” and chic in the nerdiest way possible. (In fact, Tilda Swinton reportedly scooped one up.) Then we found out they cost $1500.00 each, and our collective jaws dropped. So, um yeah. [Inventor Spot]
Thanks to our compulsive “Top Chef” watching, we know that presentation is just as important as taste, and good food has got to have both. Ta-da! These hand-dipped-in-chocolate and candy-covered berries look as good as they taste. [$34.98, ProFlowers]
ProFlowers is offering Frisky readers 15 PERCENT OFF ANY ORDER and 25 PERCENT OFF ANY ORDER OVER $49 from today, Nov. 17, to Thursday, Dec. 31. Simply click here to shop. While some clothing companies sew sequins on a sweater and call it holiday attire, Kate Spade takes a more original approach, turning the classic bows that get stuck on top of presents into hair accessories, ballet flats, necklaces, and, our personal favorite, rings. These aren’t accessories you’d wear year-round, but it sure would be fun to bring them out every November through New Year’s—and maybe on our birthday, too.
We are loving skeleton key jewelry right now, and this vintage key (now cast in silver) was for sale at a flea market before Ball and Chain jewelers rescued it. The authenticity is a plus with so many jewelers picking up on this trend, and the oxidized chain is a dark charcoal grey; a nice contrast to the key’s silver sheen. [$35, Ball and Chain]
Ball and Chain Jewelry is offering Frisky readers 15 PERCENT OFF an entire purchase refunded by PayPal from today, Nov. 16, to Thursday, Dec. 31. Simply click here, and you must enter coupon code FriskyDeal at checkout to receive the discount in the form of a credit after purchase. Check back daily for more Season’s Savings discounts!
The other day I had on a sexy sweater-dress from Madewell. Well, it would have been really sexy if static hadn’t made it cling to my lace tights. By the time lunch rolled around, I was in dire need of a slip. But, you see, a slip isn’t something that’s easily found in this day and age, unless you hit up a department store. So, I wandered into Ann Taylor Loft, vaguely remembering their new line of shapewear and hoping that they had something like a slip. What I found was the Fantastic Firmer Mid-Thigh Short from the Assets line by Sarah Blakely.
Here’s what I discovered ...
