Topless Teen Modeling? Georgia Jagger’s Parents Get It

“My mum did a lot of very provocative work with Helmut Newton. She understands. [The topless Hudson Jeans ad] is pretty crazy, though. I didn’t think that it was going to be on giant billboards everywhere. I’m sort of like, Oh, God!”

—Just in case you were wondering, Georgia Jagger‘s parents (rocker Mick and former model Jerry Hall) are totally cool with their daughter’s controversial topless modeling. Meanwhile, our parents wouldn’t let us out of the house with a crop top on! [Fashionologie] Keep reading »

For Once, Georgia Jagger Isn’t Hypersexualized—Or Is She?—In This W Mag Spread

Eighteen-year-old Georgia May Jagger has two claims to fame. First, that she is Mick Jagger’s daughter. And second, that she made her modeling debut at 17 years old, appearing topless in a Hudson Jeans ad. Subsequently, it’s been difficult to consider Jagger without defaulting to talk about scandal. Despite the fact that Miss Jagger claimed Model of the Year at the British Fashion Awards, the teen’s work has continually been uber-sexual. (Of course, perhaps it’s hypocritical to make an example of Georgia when the fashion industry is sending 13-year-old girls down the runway, but nevertheless, she’s become a point of controversy.) Georgia Jagger Goes Back To School For Vogue China

Is pre-Fourth of July too early to talk about back to school? Probably! Either way, Georgia Jagger, aka Mick Jagger’s daughter, gives readers of Vogue China a peek at what students may be wearing on chicer campuses this fall. That is, if a girl’s got a serious budget. The looks are an eclectic mix of autumnal colors and shots of crazy color, girly touches coupled with preppy tailoring, and high heels with high socks. Get a gander of a few more of the getups after the jump and tell us if you’d wear the likes of them when you go back to class. Keep reading »

Georgia May Jagger Told To Suck In Her Non-Existent Stomach

Hudson Jeans released video from their photo shoot with Georgia Jagger — you know, Mick Jagger‘s daughter? — and it’s your typical soft core hawtness. But if you listen closely, 19 seconds in you can hear the photographer telling Georgia, “Suck in your tummy a little?” Um, maybe my vision is going to pot in my old age, but this model does not have a tummy. Georgia Jagger Does Versace, Then Retires?

Georgia Jagger‘s what they’re calling “a real Versace girl.” (In Donatella’s words herself: “She’s smart, a strong personality, beautiful, full of energy … She’s perfect for this collection — a real Versace girl.”) Shot by Mario Testino, Georgia’s campaign for the label’s spring 2010 collection just came out, and the images prove that she’s moving in a more professional direction. The teen model has had a real mixed bag year, both inciting controversy with her topless Hudson Jeans ad and gaining recognition by being honored with the Model of the Year Award. With the unveiling of this Versace ad, you’d think Jagger would keep the momentum going, but things are actually slowing down—she’s taken leave of the business for a while to concentrate on school. (Be cool! Models stay in school. Besides, everyone else is quitting their jobs!)

Of course, whenever models announce they’re “quitting,” you know that’s really code for “I’ll be back in, like, five months.” So you can probably expect to see more of Georgia Jagger—just not right away. [Fashion Gone Rogue, Vogue UK]

Georgia Jagger Is The “Model Of The Year”

Lara Stone was robbed! The term “Model of the Year” cracks me up and reminds me of that famous scene in “Zoolander” when Derek’s up against Hansel for the prize. But the truth is, the fashion industry takes this shiz for serious. While insiders would agree that Stone is clearly the obvious choice for ruling it in 2009, she’s not from the U.K. and, therefore, would not qualify to win the title at the British Fashion Awards held this week in Jolly Old. (See the red carpet pics here.) Georgia Jagger, daughter of Sir Mick and supermodel Jerry Hall, however, is the English rose who took the title home, beating out other rock progeny Daisy Lowe (Gavin Rossdale’s daughter) and former Burberry girl Rosie Huntington-Whiteley. Actually, after a year involving that Vanity Fair story and that tres scandalous Hudson jeans ad, it makes sense. Could Georgia be the next supermodel? Maybe she already is? Keep reading »

How To Become A Supermodel

Interested in becoming a supermodel? Sure ya are! Here, follow the Georgia Jagger method, satisfaction (ha) guaranteed:

  1. Be born to celebrity parents. You may want to work this out with God beforehand.
  2. Be moderately attractive and thin. This should be easy enough assuming that step #1 works out and you’re subsequently introduced into the Hollywood diet and body image culture.
  3. Create a stir by appearing topless in an advertisement when you are still a minor.
  4. Score yourself a Vanity Fair profile to up your cultural credibility (so people will actually want to hire you). Make sure it features tasteful yet provocative photos à la Miley Cyrus to rouse more interest.
  5. Partner with other famous people. Now Georgia Jagger is following in Kate Moss‘s footsteps by landing a Rimmel campaign, a job that’s boosted by the fact that Coco Rocha will be the second face. Now just wait for the ads to come out, which will certainly lead to more work. Throw in a drug scandal and relationship drama, and there you have it … the world’s next supermodel obsession. Mick Jagger Doesn’t Care If He Spawned A Supermodel

We’ve written about Georgia May Jagger here previously, when the 17-year-old model and spawn of supermodel Jerry Hall and Rolling Stones front man Mick Jagger appeared topless and lolling around in a somewhat provocative Hudson jeans commercial. The new teen It Girl from the U.K. reappears in this month’s Vanity Fair, where she prances around half-naked yet again, and explains that her father doesn’t mind her rather randy modeling career one bit. (“He doesn’t hate it at all,” she explains.) Whether or not she’s more than yet another wannabe-model rocker’s offspring remains to be seen. We like the Lauren Hutton-esque gap between her two front teeth. More pics, after the jump … [VF.com] Keep reading »

Mick Jagger’s 17-Year-Old Daughter Would Like To Discuss Her Pants With You

Remember when we called attention to the fact that AgencySpy was very against the idea of 17-year-old rock/model spawn Georgia Jagger and her topless Hudson Jeans campaign? (Ah, like it was yesterday.) Now there’s a very, well, “erotic” might be the best way of putting it, video making the rounds that is extremely humorous if you love to make fun of kooky fashion ads and, well, let’s just say it’s controversial in other ways too. Check it out and let’s discuss immediately. Keep reading »

Georgia Jagger Controversy: Should Teens Ever Appear Topless In Ads?

Agency Spy is taking issue with Hudson Jeans’s latest ad campaign, featuring 17-year-old Georgia Jagger, daughter of rock god Mick and supermodel Jerry Hall. Appearing topless (minus nipple action, however), the teenager models the jeans as she lounges in a seductive position. Agency Spy denounces the photo because young girls “are off limits when it comes to sexual references in advertising. This kind of work perpetuates the notion that children and sex somehow fit into the same category, which they clearly do not.” Keep reading »
