For the ladies who aren’t fans of pants, like the glamorous Miss Dita Von Teese, here’s a plethora of cute skirts to cover you bum and show off your gams, after the jump…
One of my favorite pastimes is reading interior design magazines like Domino and getting depressed about the look of my own department. It’s a sickness, really. But I think one of the easiest ways to cure a depressing habitat situation is to spruce up what you’ve already got with some new, cheap home accessories. Like the eight after the jump!
The leaves haven’t started falling off the trees yet, but they are cropping up on clothing and accessories. Designers definitely took inspiration from nature this season and are using leaves and flowers to adorn sweaters, skirts, dresses and jewelry. Some are literal interpretations, whereas others are more abstract. Check out the slideshow after the jump and tell us whether this trend is suited to this time of year or does it only work in the spring.
It’s time to start shopping (or lusting) for boots. Before you know it, the leaves will change colors and starting falling, the isolated thunderstorms of the summer will change to steady rain all day, and the temperature will drop, making closed-toe boots a necessity. This season boots are being done in many colors, but one of the hottest is gray. Texture, mixing patterns, fold-overs, detailed stitching and patent are other standout features on this season’s boots. Since boots have varying shafts, ankle to over-the-knee, you will definitely find a pair that suits the length of your leg.
Autumn is my favorite season because, let’s face it, you have more clothing options in the next few months than you do the rest of the year. You can wear more than one layer without perspiring your weight in sweat but you don’t have to bundle up to protect against frostbite. You can wear some of your spring and summer clothes. You can wear some of your winter clothes. And you can start wearing corduroy, aka denim’s more sensitive first cousin and velvet’s more casual brother. Here are 10 items made from corde du roi, or “rope of the king,” as it was known back in the day.
I’m not one to transform into a sex vixen when she dons some Victoria’s Secret bustier. And my last striptease? Like Flashdance on rewind. Give me some granny panties and a sports bra, however, and I’m a star. Here, some picks for ladies who prefer less traditional underthings to the super-sexy stuff. So, throw one on, take your passion, and make it happen.
Whether or not lil’ Ali Lohan had a boob job, it’s a totally duh-statement that many, many, many actresses go under the knife to fit the typical Hollywood bombshell mold. Not these ladies—and especially not Keira Knightly, who refuses to be digitally enhanced. After the jump, 10 actresses who have embraced their bee stings and said “no thanks” to silicone.
Just because a dress is long and covers your stems, doesn’t mean it can’t be sexy – after all, leaving something to the imagination can be awfully alluring. Maxi (or long) dresses are all the rage for summer – while the airy skirt still keeps you cool, there’s the added protection from UV rays as a bonus, if you’re worried about that kind of thing. Catherine is – she just spent the weekend at the beach and came home with a nasty, splotchy, and painful burn all over the tops of her shins, so she’ll be living in dresses like these for the rest of the summer.
Our post on beards was so popular, we thought we’d give you more Paul Bunyon-inspired beards to drool over. Enjoy!

Target’s GO International lines by the likes of Luella Bartley, Erin Fetherston, Jovovich-Hawk, etc. sold out before I could get my hands on anything good. I’m going to cross my fingers that that doesn’t happen when this line arrives in mid-April. Unlike the other GO incarnations, this one was created by designers at Target rather than an outside collaborator. But don’t worry, label whores, Target’s not ditching big names. The GO lines designed in-house will be sold in between the designer collections.
Happy St. Patrick’s Day! Have a Guinness!
