Have you heard the glorious news? Disney has commissioned a pilot from “Boy Meets World” creator Michael Jacobs for a spinoff called “Girl Meets World.” The best part? Rumor has it that Ben Savage and Danielle Fishel (aka Cory and Topanga) will be reuniting to play the main character’s parents. So awesome, right? Everywhere you look, there’s a face of somebody who needs you. Well, they don’t need you, more like we needed them back in the ’80s. Those were the days.Watching “Full House” on TGIF, eating Burger King french fries, thinking there was a future for me on primetime television because D.J. Tanner was also chubby with big bangs.

The Tanners and crew got together with the “Full House” creators for a 25 year reunion of the show. (Holy shit … that means I’m old!) As you can see, the Olsen twins were missing, due to being too famous or something. Not that they were that important on the show anyway. “The Alanis [Morissette] I know is really fun to be around and really thoughtful and sweet. I think there’s a lot of things in Jagged Little Pill that are very deep and fueled by her interactions with a lot of people. At the time we were dating, she was writing a lot of music, and I was a newly divorced, single father with a two-year old son. She was living in Ottawa, Canada and I was living in Los Angeles. It was a tough time for me and a lot of distance for a budding relationship. I’ll always think of her as a really great person. As far as being the so-called subject of ‘You Oughta Know’…I’ll just let the urban legend folks keep spinning on that one.”

— Oh, Uncle Joey, why do you deny “You Oughta Know” is about you? Dave Coulier totally admitted in a 2008 interview with the Calgary Sun the song is about him. Dave told the paper then, “I said, ‘Wow, this girl is angry [when he first heard the song while driving].’ And then I said, ‘Oh man, I think it’s Alanis.’ I listened to the song over and over again, and I said, ‘I think I have really hurt this person.’” Hey, I guess she really was there to remind him of the mess he left when he went away. Candace Cameron is the girl who launched a thousand embroidered vests and neon scrunchies. Her story is the stuff of ’90s legend—after seeing her big brother Kirk’s experience on “Growing Pains,” Candace knew she wanted to be an actress and, after spots on “Who’s the Boss” and in “Some Kind of Wonderful,” she landed the iconic role of DJ Tanner on “Full House.” The show ended in 1995, and since then Candace has gotten hitched to pro hockey player Valeri Bure, and is now the proud mama of three children. She’s also acting again, playing Summer on ABC Family’s gymnastics-palooza, “Make It Or Break It.” Candace sat down with The Frisky to talk about returning to the television scene. Mary-Kate And Ashley Olsen Were “Little Performance Monkeys”

Mary-Kate Olsen blasted her “Full House” childhood in a new interview with Marie Claire, saying she and twin sister Ashley Olsen were “little performance monkeys.” MK, who has scarcely talked to the press since she was publicly connected to the death of her friend Heath Ledger in 2007, told the magazine, “I would never wish my upbringing on anyone … I look at old photos of me, and I don’t feel connected to them at all.” Apparently, the feeling is mutual. Her sister Ashley also told Marie Claire, “I look at Britney and I’m surprised I didn’t end up like her.” (Sorry, Brit.)

Quite sad to think that all those cheesy made-for-VHS movies made them billionaires, but it hasn’t made them happy.

“Oh I totally enjoy ['Full House']. I don’t cringe at all. It’s funny and I completely embrace it. ‘Full House’ made me part of who I am today. There’s nothing embarrassing about it—maybe just the sweaters and big hair. I’ve had so many people say, ‘I used to want to dress like DJ Tanner.’ Now they look back and it’s a joke. ‘What am I going to be for Halloween? Ooh, DJ Tanner—I’ll wear scrunchie socks and big high bangs.’ I think it’s awesome. And I think pretty soon ‘pulling a DJ Tanner’ will be in the dictionary. I hear it all the time when girls who haven’t eaten all day are about to faint while working out. They ‘pulled a DJ Tanner.’ It’s great. I love it.”

—Candace Cameron Bure, who played DJ Tanner on “Full House” back in the day. After leaving Hollywood, getting hitched to a hockey star, and having three kids, Candace is back on the small screen on the totally underrated show “Make It Or Break It.” I wonder if her brother, Kirk Cameron, ever has anyone tell him they “pulled a Mike Seaver”? The “Full House” Home Is Way Nicer Now That The Tanners Don’t Live There

Not to ruin the small screen for you, but characters on TV don’t actually live in the houses shown on shows. No, those exteriors shots are of homes where real people live. And actually, the homes inside can be even more magical than the sets used for filming, as we learned in the January/February issue of Elle Decor. The home where the Tanners supposedly lived on “Full House” is featured in the issue, and we’d find a way to put up with Stephanie’s incessant “How rude!” exclamations if we could move in. Jodie Sweetin Talks Drug Use And Recovery On “Today”

unSweetined, Jodie Sweetin‘s book about her drug addiction and recovery, officially hits bookstores tomorrow, and the former “Full House” star spoke to Matt Lauer on “Today” this morning. As we know from reading an excerpt from the book, Jodie was still using when she began touring the country, warning college students about the dangers of using drugs. The day before she caught a flight to speak to students at Marquette University, she had partied for hours, drinking alcohol and using ecstasy and cocaine. She even bought some coke, which she hid in her makeup compact, on the flight. Keep reading »

Jodie Sweetin’s Book Not So, Uh, Sweet

You can tell a lot about a book by the first sentence. And the first sentence of Jodie Sweetin’s memoir is pretty telling: “F**k it” (only without the astericks). You probably remember Jodie as Stephanie Tanner on “Full House,” the middle sister with blonde hair who had perfected the art of wearing a scrunchie. So when she popped out of obscurity in 2006 and appeared on “Good Morning America” to reveal that she was a recovering coke and meth addict, it was pretty shocking. Turns out, it was only half true—she was an addict, but she was hardly recovered. She had a serious relapse, even as she began touring the country and warning college students about the dangers of drugs.
