Watch Kristen Wiig & Ellen Bring You The One And Only “Frozen” Cover Worth Seeing

So Worth It

“Frozen” overload seems to have peaked sometime over the summer, and by now about a thousand mediocre covers of “Let It Go” have shoved their way into our lives, but this one is too awesome to ignore. Both Kristen Wiig and Ellen claim not to know the words to the song, but that doesn’t stop them from giving it a shot. As you can imagine, hilarity ensues. [Huffington Post]

I’m Dying: Pearl Jam Played “Let It Go” From “Frozen” At A Concert In Italy

I'm Dying: Pearl Jam Played "Let It Go" From "Frozen" At A Concert In Italy
That Song Is So Good Now!

I have a couple of friends with kids who incessantly want to listen to that song “Let It Go” from “Frozen” and usually I feel sorry for them. But today I am feeling envious, because as a child of the ’90s, Pearl Jam is my favorite band of all time and they just performed “Let It Go” at a concert in Italy. So basically I’m jealous that I don’t have a kid obsessed with “Frozen” because if I did, this moment would be opportunity to turn them into fans of the music I like. Or something. [Rolling Stone]

“Let It Go(T)” Is The “Frozen”/”Game Of Thrones” Mashup You Didn’t Know You Needed

"Game Of Thrones! Games Of Thrones!"

I have yet to see “Frozen,” but that damn “Let It Go” song is inescapable. I was on the verge of totally hating it, but then I saw this “Game of Thrones”/”Frozen” mashup, with lyrics like ”Who’s the hero on this show? / Tyrion? That new guy? Even book readers don’t know,” and I had a new appreciation. I wonder if the same approach would work with another song I’m sick of like, say, a “Happy”/”Hannibal” mashup? Hmm. [Rolling Stone]

This Guy Can Sing “Let It Go” In The Voice of 21 Different Disney Characters

The best "Let It Go" cover yet?

When 22-year-old Brian Hull heard about a gift card contest that asked competitors to contribute their own cover of the song  ”Let It Go” from “Frozen,” he got to work on recording one — in the voices of 21 different Disney and Pixar characters. The vocal performance major at Dallas Baptist University brings the voices of Winnie the Pooh, Mickey Mouse, Sebastian The Crab, Tigger, Goofy and many others with impersonations you have to hear to believe. It’s almost scary how many voices he can do in rapid succesion!  If this kid does not have a voiceover contact already, Disney doesn’t know what it’s doing.  [USA Today]

Parents Lip Sync “Frozen” Song Perfectly; Daughter Remains Unimpressed

Parents Lip Sync Song From Frozen; Daughter Is Unimpressed
Booooorrrrrrring!

If your life involves kids in any way, then you’ve probably had the “Frozen” soundtrack on constant repeat in the car, at home, on the computer, and even in your head. (Is “Let It Go” actually playing out loud right now, or does it just exist on permanent loop in your brain? You may never know.) These parents used all those repeated listens of the song “Love Is An Open Door” to memorize every syllable of it, and filmed a video of themselves absolutely nailing a dramatic lip sync while driving around with their kids. The best part, though, is their daughter in the backseat, who is thoroughly unimpressed by her parents’ antics. She literally yawns throughout the entire performance, which, as you’ll realize when you hit play, is quite a feat. [YouTube]

Trailer Park: “Dear John,” “From Paris, With Love,” “Frozen”

It’s the first weekend of February, and Punxsutawney Phil totally saw his shadow again, which means we’ve got another six weeks of winter on our hands. Unless, like the National Climatic Data Center, you believe Groundhog Day is hogwash. (The party poopers say Phil’s accuracy is 39 percent). Either way, it’s cold as hell out there and it might be best to hibernate for the remainder of the season. My recipe for hibernation includes lots of soup, 24/7 robe time, and movies. This week’s releases include tearjerker chick-flick “Dear John,” adventure blowing-stuff-up movie “From Paris With Love,” and an almost-funny horror flick, “Frozen.” Keep reading »
