The Friday Roundup: It Happened This Week On The Frisky

Damn you, world. Don’t you know those of us who work in the media, like everyone else, likes to take things slow on Friday? We don’t like it when things actually happen, ’cause that means we have to pretend we’re still coherent and work! Don’t give Barack Obama the Nobel Peace Prize, when all us want is to go home, have a few drinks and see “Couples Retreat.” And don’t have your baby, Heidi Klum. And don’t go on “The View”, showing everyone in America that ginormous, tacky 9-carat rock on your finger, Khloe Kardashian …. Keep reading »

Friday Roundup: It Happened This Week On The Frisky

The VMAs happened five nights ago and everyone’s still talking about Taylor Swift and Kanye West. (That means everyone pretty much ignored Lady Gaga’s look-at-me, look-at-me blood-splattered outfit. Try harder next year, honey!)

We’re drama-mongers, though, so we were tickled pink when Tay-Tay hit up “The View” to tell Barbara and the girls that, other than the fact Kanye has a cool haircut, she doesn’t much care for the man. Alas, that’s nothing compared to President Obama, in a supposed-to-be-off-the-record conversation, calling Kanye a “jackass.” (Oops!) When the women on “The View” and the President think you’re a jerk, you’ve got problems, dude.

Hard as it may be to believe, though, lotsa other stuff happened this week. After the jump, everything you missed while you were watching Kanye West/”I’m gonna let you finish…” mash-ups: Keep reading »

The Friday Roundup: It Happened This Week On The Frisky

The joys of Beatles Rock Band consumed our lives at night, we confess. But during the daytime, we poured our heart and soul into bringing you all the news that’s fit to be blogged, dear reader. We wrote about how Tila Tequila accused her football player boyfriend, Shawne Merriman, of choking her; how DNA tests have shown that South African runner Caster Semenya is allegedly “intersex,” with both boy and girl parts; we even hit the town for Fashion’s Night Out here in New York City! Here’s a recap of this very busy week here at The Frisky … Keep reading »

The Friday Roundup: It Happened This Week On The Frisky

We did something a li’l different this week at The Frisky— every day, five of our editors and bloggers took pictures of their outfits and posted them online for y’all to see! Did you see them all?

Luckily, our fab stylin’s brought some levity to a long, hard week, what with DJ AM passing away too soon and 29-year-old Jaycee Dugard discovered living with Phil Garrido, a total whackjob, 18 years after she was abducted. Keep reading »

The Friday Roundup: It Happened This Week On The Frisky

Man, this week was a downer! Senator Ted Kennedy, a champion of women’s rights, passed away. Chris Brown avoided jail time for beating the crap out of Rihanna. Someone thought it’d be a good idea for Kate Gosselin to host “The View.” And teenagers in Phoenix did some nasty things with tampons and alcohol.

At least Anna Wintour nailed her “Letterman” interview. (Yay, “The September Issue” is out tonight! Well, in New York, anyway.) After the jump, see what else happened this week on The Frisky! Keep reading »

The Friday Roundup: It Happened This Week On The Frisky

It’s August, celebs. Shouldn’t you be on vacation somewhere, not starring in a sex tape (oh, excuse me, a nude tape) or doing sketchy stuff?

But we wouldn’t have much to blog about if you didn’t act a fool, so…thanks, we guess. (Even though the summer days are waning and some of us still have pasty skin lit only by the glare of our laptop screens.) Check out what we’ve been up to: Keep reading »

Friday Roundup: It Happened This Week On The Frisky

Hooray! The weekend is here. As far as we’re concerned, this week was one long waste of time before “Mad Men” returns for its third season. (We haven’t decided whether we’re going to dress up like Peggy Olsen, Joan Holloway, or Rachel Menken for the premiere. There’s still time.)

Lots of other stuff happened this week, though. Join us, won’t you, while we take a fond look back? Keep reading »

Friday Roundup: It Happened This Week On The Frisky

Sadness: we lost another titan of pop culture this week. John Hughes, who wrote/directed “Sixteen Candles,” “The Breakfast Club,” and “Pretty In Pink” passed away on Thursday at the age of 59. We haven’t been this bummed since, well, Michael and Farrah passed.

We’re going to affect our most Molly Ringwald-esque pout and cry into our beers tonight. But in the meantime, why don’t you catch up on what you missed on The Frisky this week: Keep reading »

The Weekly Roundup: It Happened This Week On The Frisky

What happened to the celebs of the world this week??? Jude Law got himself a baby mama, Roseanne Barr posed as a Nazi, and Lindsay Lohan begged for a chance at reprising Marilyn Monroe’s role in a remake of “Some Like It Hot.” It may take all weekend just to wash our brains out after this one.

All the celeb news you missed this week on The Frisky, and more, after the jump: Keep reading »
