RIP Walter Cronkite And Frank McCourt

It was another sad weekend in celebrity deaths. First Walter Cronkite, former anchor of the “CBS Evening News,” died in New York on Friday at the age of 92. Cronkite was known for his straightforward news delivery and for having the best voice ever. In fact, a 1972 poll found that Cronkite was “the most trusted man in America.” [CBS]

Then yesterday, Frank McCourt who wrote the uber-depressing-but-amazing Angela’s Ashes, died at age 78. Before writing this Pulizer-Prize winning book, McCourt taught creative writing in New York City. [CNN]
