Beauty Test Drive: Marc Jacobs Bang Eau De Toilette Spray

It’s not every day that we test products for men here at The Frisky. But Bang is Marc Jacobs‘ first masculine fragrance in almost 10 years, so I had to jump at the chance. Plus, did you see how hot Marc looked in the Bang ad? Apparently, this scent is so special that he had to star in the ads himself because no other model would do. So do I like Bang? Yes. But what exactly does it smell like? Keep reading to find out. Plus, learn how you can win a bottle of Bang and more Marc Jacobs products. Keep reading »

Beauty Test Drive: Soulgasm Parfum

Here at The Frisky, anything that enhances frisky business seems like good business. What could be better than a perfume that has a distinct scent, but also leads to seduction? Nothing. Soulgasm, a new perfume by Sasha Varon, is deep, sheer, and definitely intense. The base of the perfume is clean musk, warm amber, and a sweet French vanilla. Jasmine, lily, and woodberry comprise the heart of the perfume, with some black currant, freesia, peach, and pear notes in it, as well.

Mariah Carey Wants You To Smell Like Candy

When Nick Cannon proposed to his lady, Mariah Carey, he hid her engagement rock inside a Ring Pop lollipop, as a nod to her love for the candy, then replicated his originality in an encrusted lollipop for their anniversary. Now, Mariah’s planning to capitalize off her sweet tooth by launching a line of fragrances with Bazooka Candy Brands. Yes, you read that right. Mariah plans to introduce the world to her candy scents this July, available in three fragrances: Honey, Mine Again, and Ribbon, so everyone can smell just as sweet as her. “I think this line really comes with a fresh approach that is both innovative and accessible to my loyal fan base and beyond, but will bring something new to the market,” she explained, totally justifying her decision to combine the world of beauty and candy. While Mariah’s most likely aiming to sell to a more sophisticated market, this sounds like the perfect present for your 8-year-old daughter, niece, or cousin. [WWD] Keep reading »

Are You Into The Idea of Scented Glasses?

Though we’ve had scented markers for years, apparently the everything-should-be-fragrant concept is enjoying a bit of a re-birth, and giving products their own scent has become the newest fashion trend. The world was just recently introduced to scented nail polish, and now one brand decided to throw a little odor onto their eyeglasses. Les Opticiens Atol created an eyewear collection with actress Adriana Karembeu called AK Senteurs, and instead of adding obvious embellishments like crystals or patterns, they covertly decorated the arms with perfumes. Essence options come in four different aromas: Coquette, Isle of Kisses, Adriana, and Chocolate — so in case you’re one of those people who forget to spritz the perfume, your scent (at least on the temple-region) is already taken care of for you! Weird. [BellaSugar] Keep reading »

With Poo-Pourri Your Poop Doesn’t Have To Stink!

What goes up must come down. What goes in must come out. The truth is, everybody poops, but it’s embarrassing for some to go in unfamiliar surroundings, like your new lover’s place. Now you can poop anywhere without being embarrassed. Single? Think about this: You’re on the way to work one morning and you need to do the do badly. You pop into Starbucks to use their bathroom, and a gorgeous guy gets in line behind you. Maybe if you spray Poo-Pourri before you go, he won’t be overwhelmed by the stench and will, instead, have a clear head to think about you. Unlike air deodorizers that mask the smell, environmentally friendly Poo-Pourri claims to create a barrier that prevents the smell of your crap from escaping the toilet bowl. Also, Poo-Pourri comes in different scents to accommodate everyone’s personal preferences. What you had for dinner doesn’t need to stop you from going home with that crush of yours across the bar. Mist a couple of sprays into the toilet bowl before you go, and no one will ever know! [Poo-Pourri] Keep reading »

Feeling a residual high from 4/20? (Or maybe you never, um, stopped.) Zone out with this arty video promotion for Maison Martin Margiela’s new perfume, the one we told you about called Untitled. We have no idea what it’s supposed to mean, nor could we explain most of the imagery to you. Not because we’re baked, but because we think that’s the point. [Hint Mag] Keep reading »

What’s Up With Fresh’s “Cannabis” Perfume?

Fresh is a high-end beauty company known for incorporating natural ingredients like soy, sugar, and milk into its products. Good, healthy, wholesome stuff. So we did a double take when we saw this “Cannabis Santal Eau de Parfum.” Mary Jane, eh? Naturally, the perfume‘s ingredients aren’t remotely narcotic—it’s a blend of patchouli, vanilla musk, and other essential oils. However, the mixture does contain a “cannabis accord,” meaning a mix of scents concocted to “captures the raw sensuality of cannabis, known for its woodsy, musky properties.” Fancy walking around reeking of Eau de Stoner? (But, like, not really, dude.) [Neiman Marcus] Keep reading »

Beauty Test Drive: Marc Jacobs “Biscotti” Splash Scent

There are so many fragrances to choose from this season. My new favorite everyday scent right now is Marc Jacobs “Biscotti” Splash Scent (sold exclusively at Nordstrom). The fragrance was inspired by the delectable treats found in patisseries, with notes of freesia, orange flower, pistachio blossom, and vanilla that combine into a truly crisp and fresh scent. Seriously, my mouth literally waters with each spritz in the morning. But don’t get me wrong; you won’t smell like a bakery because the vanilla is barely detectable. And since this is a 10-ounce bottle, you can spray as much as you want as often as you want without offending those around you. But you need to act quickly because it’s a limited edition, and you know you can’t have mine if Nordstrom runs out. [$68, Nordstrom] Keep reading »
