Skinny Jeans—For Less Than 10 Bucks!

Forever 21 has just released a pair of dark wash, one-percent stretch skinny jeans for $9.50. Yes, $9.50. (I’ve been known to spend more on lunch!) Got to say, they’ve got the right amount of spandex stretch to be flattering, are in a great, go-anywhere wash and, on the model at least, look to be the best length for all the insane heels we’re crushing on these days. What do you think, too good to be true? If anyone hits up Forever 21, I’m begging you to try ‘em on and report back! [Lucky via Racked] Keep reading »

Cheapskate: Forever 21

Any fashionista worth her wardrobe knows that she can buy trendy stuff from Forever 21, but who really has the patience to wade through all the crap and mess that plagues the actual store? We don’t, that’s for sure. So we’ll just surf the website to find all the trendy and classic (bet you didn’t think Forever 21 had “classic” in them) items to add to our autumn wardrobe. I’m really loving the Crochet Trim Sweater Cardigan because I can’t afford real Chanel, but don’t want to wear a complete knockoff. Check out 17 garments and accessories we’re loving for their design and price, after the jump.

Forever 21 Debuts A “Punk” Line, Sid Vicious Rolls In His Grave

Forever 21 debuted their “Twist” line online today, which they call “Fashion With A Twist Of Punk!” I love shopping at Forever 21 so I checked it out. I found a very cute swing-y, satiny gray skirt ($19.80) I love and a shiny, black-and-gray striped strapless dress ($24.80) that’d be cute to wear out dancing. But really, the Forever 21 Twist clothes are about as authentically “punk” as Avril Lavigne is … which is to say they’d have Sid Vicious rolling in his grave. Let me tell you how it is, young mall rats: Real punks would and do not shop at Forever 21. Real punks ripped their own clothes up. Real punks pierced themselves with safety pins and didn’t cry about it. Real punks rolled in their own piss on the floor at CBGB. Got it? [Forever 21 Twist] Keep reading »

Crave: Forever 21 Knit Jacket

When the weather turns crisp, style obsessions turn to fall coats. However, thanks to this Forever 21 design, we’re now finding the idea of the non-coat sexier for in-between weather. The heather grey color, piping, and hefty waist tie make this knit sweater-coat look like a designer number you’d see on chic Fashion Week attendees. Rock it with some biker-esque platform pumps, black cigarette jeans, and huge sunglasses to get that fashion editor vibe. Once the weather gets too cold, make it a casual indoor staple. Crave: Zebra Stripe Skinny Jeans

Finally, some animal print pants to wear so you’ll fit in during all-night “Real Housewives Of New Jersey” viewing sessions. Sure, leopard print might be more New Jersey-erffic, but we can definitely get on board with this overture by Forever 21 at Fabulosity, too. It takes a fashionista of hearty stock to pull off zebra print skinny jeans, but we have faith that you can do it. [$36, Forever 21] Keep reading »

Dressing Like A Circus Freak Isn’t An Insult Anymore

We know, we get it: Vampire fashion is so hot right now. But we all know human blood (or True Blood, for that matter), is a bitch to get out of silk. What’s another trend you can jump on? Circus chic. No, seriously…

Crave: Bookworms Need Love, Too

If you’ve been holed up in the library stacks for so long that your face is as pasty-white as this tee shirt, you, my dear, need some lovin’. Thanks, Forever 21, for reminding the menfolk that nerdy girls need affection, too. [$16.90, Forever 21] Keep reading »

Get Ready To Fill Your House With More Cheap (Hopefully Cute) Stuff!

Move over Ikea, there’s a new king of cheap furniture in town: The Los Angeles-based company, Forever 21, which is forever legendary in our minds for selling $21 knockoffs of $2100 dresses, is now launching a home collection. The line will launch at Forever 21′s largest stores later on this year, followed by a debut at XXI, their latest concept store. The press release was sparse on details of what the furniture will actually look like, but we can all be sure it will be plenty trendy and all kinds of disposable, just like their clothes! Although we have to wonder: Will the collection simply be chintzy little knickknacks fit for a teenager’s room, or stuff oldsters like us can use in our apartments and stuff? Guess we’ll just have to sit tight. But here’s hoping they’ll knock off all the cute but spendy Jonathan Adler stuff we’re always sweatin’. [NY Mag] Keep reading »

Why Will People Keep Buying Chanel and Vuitton In A Recession?

Apparently Topshop, Chanel, Louis Vuitton, and Forever 21 aren’t doing too badly in the recession, even as their peers are experiencing millions of dollars in losses. A WWD survey of a 100 luxury industry experts came up with those four brands as the most likely to succeed in this economy and, as you can see, there’s quite a disparity in price points. We understand why Topshop and Forever 21 will do well—they’re on trend, fun and dirt cheap—but Chanel and Louis Vuitton need a little further explanation. Why Chanel and LV, not Prada and Dior? What is it about these particular $3,000 bags that makes them relatively recession-proof?

Say What?! Kim Kardashian Isn’t Plus Size Or A Size 2

Forever 21 will debut a plus-size collection in May called Faith 21. Us Weekly dished on Faith 21 in a recent issue, but the mag misleadingly connected Kim Kardashian to the new line.

Here’s a little faith for fuller-figured fashionistas: On May 1, they can try on a new plus-size line, Faith 21, from hip bargain chain Forever 21 (Kim Kardashian is a fan). “It’s for a curvier girl that loves fashion,” marketing manager Linda Chang tells Us of the knit and woven tops, dresses and jeans, ranging in size from XL to 2XL and all priced at less than $31.
