Nothing Says “Bye Bye Bye” Like A Singing And Dancing Flash Mob

Flash Mob Breakup
For People Who Are Sick Of Flash Mob Videos

Flash mobs — aka huge gatherings of people singing and dancing in unison with the purpose of expressing some intimate sentiment in a public, attention-grabbing way — pretty much jumped the shark when one appeared at the end of that Justin Timberlake and Mila Kunis movie, “Friends With Benefits.” But flash mob breakups? Now that’s a twist I can get behind. Watch Sarah get her heart ripped out by boyfriend Alan’s jazz hands in this hilarious parody. [YouTube]

It’s Time To Cry: Family Surprises Terminally Ill Mom With A Flash Mob Of Love

Grab a Kleenex now.

Two years ago, Amy Wagner was diagnosed with stage 3C ovarian cancer. After undergoing major surgery and painful chemotherapy treatments, Amy and her family got the worst news one year later: the cancer was back, and this time the diagnosis was terminal. Amy is determined to make the most of the time she has left. To help boost her spirits and show her that she is surrounded by love, her daughter Lauren brought together 50 of Amy’s closest friends to perform a surprise dance for her 56th birthday. “We recorded it so that she could re-watch it in times of struggle,” says Lauren, “and so that the 50 of us who participated could watch her beautiful reactions once she’s no longer with us.”┬áThis video is a perfect illustration of Amy’s motto: “dum vivimus, vivamus,” which translates to “While we live, let us live.” And seriously, grab a kleenex before you push play. You’re going to need it. [Today]

Carlton Banks From “Fresh Prince Of Bel Air” Hosts Very Necessary Dance Party Flash Mob

Watch Video

Carlton Banks was secretly my favorite character on “The Fresh Prince Of Bel Air.” Even then I knew he was a dork after my own heart. These days Alfonso Ribeiro is keeping busy hosting dance party flash mobs to the Tom Jones song “It’s Not Unusual,” like this one filmed on the Universal Studios City Walk in Hollywood. Apparently he was trying to break a world record for most people dancing to the same song at the same time around the globe. (It brings pain to my heart that I cannot embed the video on The Frisky, but you can watch it here.) Glad to see you’re still awesome, Carlton Banks.

What have you been up to lately, Will Smith? Another stupid “Men In Black” movie? Feh. [The Sun UK]

Flash Mob Helps Create Most Unforgettable Marriage Proposal

Regardless what your feelings are on the whole “flash mob” debate (did you know there was a debate? Yep, some people love them and some people think they’re stupid and cheesy ad annoying), this is by far one of the more interesting, if not creative, ways we’ve heard of someone proposing. A guy hired a flash mob of 100 dancers to help him create an unforgettable proposal in New York’s Washington Square Park. Thankfully, his girlfriend said “yes.” Wouldn’t it have been embarrassing if she’d said “no”? Watch how jazz-handy it gets around the 3-minute mark! [via Buzzfeed] Keep reading »
