If there is one thing in this life that I know for absolute certain, it’s that everything is better with cats (if you disagree, I don’t want to hear it; your argument is moot). I adore cats, and I also adore fashion, so when the two unite — which they often do — I’m in heaven. But what happens when they don’t come together? Well, Fashionista has the right idea: you put them together! Much to my gratification, my fave fashion industry blog compiled 12 spring ad campaigns and blessed them all with a feline touch. Quite frankly, the results leave me wondering why the cats weren’t actually there in the first place. [Fashionista] Keep reading »

Fab Finds In A Fashion Editor’s Closet

Sasha Charnin Morrison keeps a slightly lower profile than that other fashion editor the world is getting to know better, Anna Wintour. But she is a Major-with-a-capital-M player, having worked at all the top glossies like Elle, Harper’s Bazaar and Allure, and she is now the Fashion Director at US Weekly. She’s also really hilarious and defies the stereotype her species is known for by being a total rock star in the sweetheart department. Nose rings were an especially popular way to show the world that you were a totally badass Adult-with-a-capital-A, yet didn’t trust anyone over the age of say, 24. Those teenagers grew up and got Real Jobs and eventually ditched the ironworks, which is why we caught a wave of nostalgia when we spotted supermodel Iris Strubegger rocking a rather major septum piercing in this month’s (what else?) French Vogue. Keep reading »

Stylist To The Stars Set To Become One Herself

She has a long list of celebrity clients, a book out, a bitter diva battle with Vogue’s Anna Wintour, and now fashionista Rachel Zoe is about to take on television. The lean, mean stylin’ machine has been criticized for promoting tanorexia [Not to mention anorexia. -- Editor], but now Bravo is going to let you judge her yourself with a serial docu-drama that will watch her every move. “The Rachel Zoe Project” is currently in development at the network and the other characters will include her hubby, Rodger, her two assistants, Taylor and Brad, and some of her celeb clientele.
