Runway Style Stealer: A Maxi Moment At Tibi

Runway Style Stealer: A Maxi Moment At Tibi

Gorgeous clothes, tons of festivities, star sightings city-wide — what’s not to love about Fashion Week? Well, the prices, for one thing. We might fall madly in love with a dress right off the runway, but we’d be mad to shell out $3,000 for it, no? That’s why we’ve taken to the Internet in search of our favorite catwalk trends on a waaaaaay more reasonable budget.

Tibi’s known for its button-up and polished sophisticated lady clothes — which is why this ensemble from their Spring 2014 collection surprised and delighted me. It’s so laid back, so “off-duty model” compared to what designer Amy Smilovic usually comes up with. And that makes it an easy look to, uh, emulate. (Or okay, fine, steal.) After the jump, we give you all the pieces you need to pull off this look. Keep reading »

Fashion Week Poll: Wanna Get Wild?

Okay, it’s official. Diane von Furstenberg has had the very first NYFW collection where I’ve loved EVERY single piece.

Maybe it’s because I’m super into animal prints right now or because the radio has been playing Katy Perry’s “Roar” every five fucking seconds, but DVF’s safari-themed pieces are just what the doctor ordered.

“What I’m hoping is that people feel joie de vivre, happiness, and beauty in a world that is so rough, so unpredictable, and scary,” the designer said before her show. Mission accomplished. These clothes make me happy. I feel like I can rule the damn world in jungle-chic ensembles that bring out my inner wild child. But I still don’t know which one I want (hypothetically, because let’s be serious—I ain’t made of money)…

Click “Vote” under the look above that makes you want to show off your animalistic side!

Model Inner Monologue: Dazed And Confused

Oh fashion week, we can always count on you to supply us with style inspiration, WTF outfits, and a plethora of male models who seem truly confused as to where they are and what they are doing and why exactly they are not wearing any pants. This guy from the Mark McNairy runway show, for example, seems to be taking a page from the “walk of shame” school of fashion, complete with a half-empty beer. [Style]
