Adam Driver Takes Donkey-Riding Very Seriously

adam driver on a donkey in vogue

God bless, Adam Driver. He’s elevated High Fashion Magazine Donkey Riding to an artform. Here, posed atop said donkey with supermodel Daria Werbowy in the latest issue of Vogue, the “Girls” star’s steely gaze conveys a heady dedication to the task at hand. I will ride this donkey over the crest of this mountain and into the cusp of an uncertain future, he seems to be thinking. Follow us, follow us, follow us. Oh, and don’t step on the donkey poop. Fellow Franco-fashion-philes, rejoice: the days of throwing down a 10-spot for a gloriously glossy, sumptuously Gallic Vogue Paris and reveling in the sad irony of only being able to enjoy the pictures are over. I can’t say that there’s been many details out regarding the news since the announcement on Friday, but it did come straight from the mouths (keyboards, rather) of the Vogue.fr staff via the mag’s Twitter account. Clearly they’re aware of the magnitude of the situation, considering this is the statement they released:

France gave the US the Statue of Liberty, now we are taking Vogue.fr to the wider world… get ready for #VogueParisinEnglish

As an ugly American who doesn’t speak French very well, but is what you might call (tongue firmly in cheek, natch) fluent in taking long drags off of cigarettes in holders (cancer-meets-class!) while listening to Serge Gainsbourg, donning high heels and greasy hair and, yes, skimming an ancient issue of Vogue Paris, I couldn’t be more excitée. Merci, Emmanuelle! [NY Mag]

Korean W Gives Demi Moore Her Hip Back

Poor Demi Moore. Just as the Photoshop drama regarding her W cover finally became last week’s news, the Korean version of the magazine had to go and stir up more controversy. As is the norm, the international mag reprinted the American cover, but failed to use the exact same copy of the image. To recap, after the initial drama, Demi took to Twitter and blasted out what she claimed to be an un-Photoshopped TwitPic of the issue which matches the American issue, followed by her lawyers sending a “threatening letter” to bloggers. But look really close at Demi’s left hip on the Korean W cover. See that extra bit of skin? She was Photoshopped, plain and simple. Now the question is, just which issue was touched up: the skinner hip or the fleshier one? So far there’s no response on the new Korean cover. Meh, at the end of the day, they’re probably both altered, just in different ways. [Hm, or are they just cropped differently?–Editor] [NY Post] Keep reading »
