Is it just me, or is Selena Gomez looking oh-so-lovely in this fall’s ubiquitous brocade? I’m hardly a teenybopper (at least I hope not) and my tolerance for all things Justin Bieber is minimal at best, but even I have to admit that Selena looks, well, kind of incredible in this Dolce & Gabbana dress and strappy stilettos. Because sexual identity is practically the same as wearing heels or flats, the fine fashionistas at Style.com have declared that lesbian chic is the next big thing. In an article on the site, writer Maya Singer notes that:

The Ineffable Charm Of Lana Del Rey’s H&M Photoshoot
I don’t know why, but I picture Lana Del Rey as having the personality and the voice of Kristen Wiig’s “Saturday Night Live” character “Sexy Shanna” — the “sexy” secretary with the high-pitched Marilyn Monroe-ish voice who’s kind of a dumb vixen. I’m not saying she’s actually like that, but something about her affect makes me think she’s a pretty girl who farts a lot.
