Is it just me, or is Selena Gomez looking oh-so-lovely in this fall’s ubiquitous brocade? I’m hardly a teenybopper (at least I hope not) and my tolerance for all things Justin Bieber is minimal at best, but even I have to admit that Selena looks, well, kind of incredible in this Dolce & Gabbana dress and strappy stilettos. Un-beliebable, if you will. Oh my god, I am the worst.
As we head into fall, you’ll no doubt be stepping into your closet and asking yourself why you have nothing to wear. We know that feeling of hollow desperation well, and we’re here to tell you that’s just not true. Using several basics that you’ve probably already got in your closet, along with a few key additions, you’ll be able to put together more than a week’s worth of outfits. We’re talking two pairs of shoes, two pairs of pants, two shirts, a blazer, a skirt, a dress and some tights, people. We’re betting you’ve already got several of these things lying around just waiting to be tossed on. Click through to check out how we’ve put these items together — and tell us what your special pieces are this fall.
Screw convention: Just because summer’s coming to an end doesn’t mean that we should give up our summery, fresh looks. That’s why we’re really feeling floral jeans and trousers this fall — they bring a hint of spring and summer color to colder climes. We found 10 pairs of pants under $100 — most are actually even under $50 — so that you can bring a bit of warm weather to your winter wardrobe.
Seeing so many celebs rocking blazers has made me go a little blazer-crazy. If you want to add one item to your wardrobe for fall, you really can’t go wrong with a blazer–it’s a perfect transition piece for the changing seasons, and there’s a chance it’s the most versatile piece of clothing ever. Seriously: wear it to work with a pencil skirt and heels, wear it on the weekend with jeans and boots, wear it on a date with a lace dress and wedges, and so on and so on. Ready to blaze a new fashion trail? Click through to check out 20 blazers in every size, shape, and color, all for $50 or less…
If Fashion Week’s runways are any indication, you’ll be seeing a lot of fur on the streets this fall. Fur was everywhere — from Marc Jacobs, to Carven to Christopher Kane and more — and you’re bound to see lots more as the temperature goes down. Personally? I’m not huge fur fans (I mean, I’m vegan, after all). It’s horribly expensive and it involves killing animals. So if you like the look of fur, but don’t like the moral and wallet price, try faux fur. We’ve found nine pieces featuring faux fur that we think you’ll love as much as we do.
Circle skirts are great for both girls with big hips and those with more boxy figures. Adding extra volume on the bottom half of your body can create a more feminine shape for straight up-and-down girls, and can accentuate the junk in your trunk if you’re more curvy (raises hand). To get you circling the circle skirt wagon, we’ve found 10 great looks. Check ‘em out!
Because sexual identity is practically the same as wearing heels or flats, the fine fashionistas at Style.com have declared that lesbian chic is the next big thing. In an article on the site, writer Maya Singer notes that:
Lesbians! They’re everywhere. This summer, the New York fashion scene was buzzing with gossip about a couple of high-profile ladies who ditched their marriages and started dating women; across the pond, meanwhile, British Vogue ran a whole article on that phenomenon, while society rag Tatler chimed in with a feature on London’s seven “loveliest lesbians.” (Only seven?) Just last week, Models.com posted photos on its homepage of the nuptials of model Harmony Boucher and her bride, Nicole.

I generally think shopping is pretty fun, but sometimes you just want everything in one place, and not have to schlep all over town trying to find the perfect outfit. That’s why we’re big fans of shopping aggregator sites like One Stop Plus, which filters everything you’d want in one handy, easy-to-search place.
We used One Stop Plus to find these 10 gorgeous dresses — all under $75 too. Check out our finds after the jump!
I don’t know why, but I picture Lana Del Rey as having the personality and the voice of Kristen Wiig’s “Saturday Night Live” character “Sexy Shanna” — the “sexy” secretary with the high-pitched Marilyn Monroe-ish voice who’s kind of a dumb vixen. I’m not saying she’s actually like that, but something about her affect makes me think she’s a pretty girl who farts a lot.
She’s the star of the new H&M fall ad campaign, and while the shots are beautiful, some of her poses are cracking me up. Check out her looks — and our captions — after the jump!
