Faith Hill showed up at the Grammy Awards last night looking glowy and gorgeous as usual, but she was rocking one unexpected accessory: braces! Season seven of “Project Runway” dealt its final “auf wiedersehen” this week. Seth Aaron out-styled Mila and Emilio, further proving my theory that the guy with the most alternative hair on the show has the best chances of winning. Think about it—Seth Aaron’s faux-hawk-punk-rock-side-burn hair thing looks strangely similar to season three winner Jeffrey’s do. Between season one winner Jay McCarroll’s creative hats and the crazy mane of season five’s Christian Siriano, my theory can basically be considered fact.
OK, that’s enough. Something that almost everyone can probably agree on is that Lifetime’s second attempt at hosting the show was much more successful and entertaining than the first. But still, it lacked that Bravo somethin’ somethin’. Keep reading »
Faith Hill posed as three iconic blonds for the May issue of Redbook cover, proving that blonds can be as unique as every highlighted strand on their heads. Although she also posed as Brigitte Bardot and Grace Kelly, her transformation into Twiggy was the most striking. Here’s what Faith said about becoming the mod fashion icon.
It was hard for me to look at myself as Twiggy. I think she was in her late teens when the original photo was taken. And there is a very big difference between a teenager and a 41-year-old! [Laughing] And I’m not talking about the lines on the eyes of a 41-year-old versus a teenager; I’m talking about the wisdom that comes as you get older. You can see through to the soul with the eyes, and with Twiggy, I felt she had such an innocence. When I first looked at myself in the mirror, I saw a maturity and wisdom that Twiggy had not yet experienced. Her version was beautiful and flawless, but for me, as a woman who’s come into her own a little more comfortably, it’s just a different kind of beauty.

It seems that some couples in music, including Jennifer Lopez and Marc Anthony, see a drop in record sales after getting married. Do Jay-Z and Beyoncé need to worry about being less successful now that they’re married? Um, no. Faith Hill and Tim McGraw’s record sales are but one example of a successful marriage coupled with solid record sales. The quality of the album is so much more important than the artist’s relationship status. [Reuters] Keep reading »
Do you remember what was playing when you lost your virginity? Someone at The Frisky lost hers to Willie Nelson [Oh, heck, it was me. -- Editor], which is an interesting choice, no? Pierre Bouvier of Simple Plan lost his to Warrant’s “Cherry Pie,” and Cobra Starship’s Ryland Blackinton was listening to the Home Improvement theme song. In a Virgin Mobile survey, 25 percent chose “It’s Your Love” by Tim McGraw and Faith Hill as the best song to lose your virginity to, which is just too sweet. But, like, how many guys have that in their iTunes? That song beat out “Feels Like the First Time” by Foreigner, “Like a Virgin” by Madonna, and “Give It To Me” by Timbaland. Basically, those choices make us want to vomit, they’re so cliché.
Two other interesting, unrelated pieces of information:
The View co-host Sherri Shepherd has her phone set to play Beyonce’s “Irreplaceable” or Gloria Gaynor’s “I Will Survive” when her ex calls, and fashion designer Isaac Mizrahi’s phone plays Rihanna’s “Umbrella” whenever his boyfriend calls. [PR Newswire] Keep reading »
