Babies With Eyebrows Are The Best Kind Of Babies

What’s the point of having a baby if not to draw scraggly, cartoon villain eyebrows on her face? (Yeah, I know there are other reasons to have a baby. Indulge me on this one.) Thanks to all the parents willing to put  black eyeliner little Connor or Emma’s big bald noggin and share it with the rest of us through the Instagram hashtag #BabyEyebrows. But I think that unibrowed baby from “The Simpsons” deserves a little more credit here.  [Instagram.com/lawrentabor via Laughing Squid]

New Louis Vuitton Ads Showcase Michelle Williams’ Flawless Brows And Ability To Wear Any Lip Color

I’ve had last fall’s Louis Vuitton ads starring Michelle Williams pinned on my eyebrow vision board for months now (What? You don’t have a vision board dedicated to achieving your ideal brows?). I’m beyond thrilled that she’s been tapped as the face of the brand’s spring accessories campaign, if only because it gives me some fresh brow inspiration. The new images do not disappoint, showcasing Michelle (and her brows) cavorting with luxe Vuitton purses and luggage, rocking a variety of coordinated lipstick and nail polish shades. Predictably, she looks amazing in every color. Click through for a sneak peek of the ads you’ll see in all the spring fashion mags!

Beauty Test Drive: LORAC’s Take A Brow Kit

beauty test drive lorac take a brow

Some women never leave the house without lipstick. I never leave the house without eyebrows. Many assumed my eyebrows are so sparse because of over-plucking, but in reality they just never grew in.  This is it. Some women (like Whoopi Goldberg) simply go without and others (like Miley Cyrus) conceal them. I like to fill them Elizabeth Taylor-style.  Eyebrows are not only essential to facial expressions; they enhance every look from natural to bold. Keep reading »

Did Miley Cyrus Bleach Her Eyebrows?

Um, is there an Instagram filter that makes your eyebrows go away? Because that’s the only explanation I can think for what is going on with Miley’s nonexistent brows here … unless she bleached her eyebrows. No, she didn’t. She didn’t! Miranda Kerr, you would have talked Miley out of bleaching her eyebrows, wouldn’t you have? [Instagram.com/MirandaKerr]

Apparently It Is Possible To Have “Slutty Eyebrows”

emily schuman slutty eyebrows

Internet comments always find new, creative ways to be nasty — even if it means insulting your “slutty eyebrows.” Emily Schuman, the blogger behind Cupcakes and Cashmere, shared with Into The Gloss one of the rudest insults she has gotten about her appearance:

“One of the first mean comments I got on my site — you always remember your first — was someone who said I had ‘slutty eyebrows.’ I cried and called my friends saying, ‘I had no idea my eyebrows were slutty!’”

Wait, what? I had no idea eyebrows could be slutty. They’re … eyebrows. Are slutty eyebrows too thin?  Too hairy?  Have they pissed off the Republicans somehow? Keep reading »

Sam The Cat’s Eyebrows, In GIF Form

Fostering Animals
Why you don't need to adopt a pet to save a life. Read More »

Perpetually surprised cat Sam is a special boy — and a bonafide Innnnnerweb sensation. He’s got markings on his face that resemble kitty eyebrows, and it’s super cute because humans love nothing more than anthropomorphizing animals. But not as cute as what my friend Michelle Collins did with Sam, in GIF form, which you can see after the jump…

How To: Groom Your Brows
If you haven't before, now's the time to learn! Read More »

Every once in a while, I get my eyebrows professionally threaded. But for the most part, I tweeze. Because I’m lazy, and also anxiety-prone and ripping out eyebrow hairs feels somehow calming. But most tweezers? Totally ineffectual. It’s so hard to see the hairs! But not anymore. Revlon finally put two and two together and realized that to adequately tweeze you’ve got to be able to see the effing hairs. So they created the Revlon Spotlight Tweezer With LED Technology, and added a small LED light to their latest tweezers, and holy crap, what an improvement. You can actually see the hairs — even the little ones that are super wispy and easy to miss. Better tweezing through science!  [$10.99, Drugstore.com]

I Got My Eyebrows Threaded And I’m Never Plucking Again

Tattooed Eyebrows
Would you do it? Don't. Read More »

Ladies, welcome to the future. The future is eyebrow threading. It’s not new — in fact it’s an old, old tradition — but threading has usurped plucking as the way to get rid of unwanted hair. At least in my book. Keep reading »

California Doctor Pioneers Eyebrow Transplants, Everybody Wants Kim’s

How To: Groom Your Brows
If you haven't before, now's the time to learn! Read More »

Are you dissatisfied with your eyebrows? Would you like to replace your measly sperm-shaped squiggles with, say, the lush, well-groomed brows of one Kim Kardashian? Well, now you can — there’s organ transplants, there’s hair transplants, and now I introduce to you eyebrow transplants. Dr. Sanusi Umar of DermHair Clinic in Redondo Beach, California, an expert in hair transplant and replacement surgery, (down by the ocean, it was so dismal…) developed an innovational procedure called “uGraft” that uses a patient’s leg or arm hair to fabricate a whole new eyebrow. Lest you suffer mental images of sliced-off skin and sewn-on strands, let me tell you how the good doctor goes about this: using no scalpel, stitches, or incisions, Dr. Umar practices a specialized “single follicle extraction and transfer” technique. Apparently, the most requested eyebrows belong to Kim K. Lovely eyebrows they are, but I don’t think I’ll be rushing to get this procedure any time soon, thanks. [The Stir]
