- Here’s Evan Rachel Wood’s thoughts on Twitter about a sex scene depicting women’s sexual pleasure being cut from “Charlie Countryman” in order to please the MPAA and their notoriously prudish rating system: ”After seeing the new cut of
#CharlieCountryman I would like 2 share my disappointment with the MPAA, who thought it was necessary to censor a womans sexuality once again. The scene where the two main characters make ‘love’ was altered because someone felt that seeing a man give a woman oral sex made people ‘uncomfortable’ but the scenes in which people are murdered by having their heads blown off remained intact and unaltered. … This is a symptom of a society that wants to shame women and put them down for enjoying sex, especially when (gasp) the man isn’t getting off as well! Its hard for me to believe that had the roles been reversed it still would have been cut OR had the female character been raped it would have been cut. Its time for people to GROW UP. Accept that woman are sexual beings Accept that some men like pleasuring woman. Accept that woman don’t have to just be f**ked and say thank you. We are allowed and entitled to enjoy ourselves. Its time we put our foot down. Thanks for listening.” Damn. Fucking. Straight. [Huffington Post] Keep reading »

Evan Rachel Wood Criticizes New Cut Of “Charlie Countrymen” For Removing Women’s Sexual Pleasure For MPAA Ratings
To be honest, I hadn’t heard anything about “Charlie Countryman” that would make me want to see it, especially considering that star Shia LaBeouf both A) gives me the douchechills and B) reminds me of my ex-boyfriend. (These points may/may not be connected.) But man, I just watched the first trailer, and oh man it looks sooooo gooooood. Evan Rachel Wood is excellent with a thick Romanian accent, and even Shia seems like he may be redeeming himself as an American who falls for Wood’s musician character and follows her down the rabbit hole into a turbulent gangster-ridden underworld. Consider my interest piqued.
The Tribeca Film Festival began with a bang last night with its star-studded Vanity Fair kick-off gala. Countless familiar New York City names were spotted at the annual event, from the festival’s founder Robert De Niro to “socialite” and headband-wearer Arden Wohl. This is New York City, after all, so naturally many of the partygoers were in head-to-toe black looks. Adorably preggers Evan Rachel Wood was radiant in a flattering black halter dress, and Sienna Miller looked rad in a short black-on-black floral frock that showcased her killer shoes. Both Karolina Kurkova and Rachel Roy chose pantsuit looks for the occasion, and Whoopi Goldberg looked like the awesomest good witch/cool aunt ever in her trademark Cool Flowy Black Thing. (I love Whoopi.) So! Who do you think wore black better at the Vanity Fair party? It’s a tough call, right?
“I don’t get offended by [questions about bisexuality]. I look at it as an opportunity to educate people. A lot of times they just really don’t know a lot about it or haven’t talked to someone who is bisexual and actually get some insight into those issues. So I don’t get angry or try to fight hate with hate; I just try to educate. There are many misconceptions about bisexuality. The one thing I run into more than anything is that bisexuality isn’t real or that you’re just going through a phase or you really are just gay, you just don’t want to say it. It’s extremely hard growing up — I didn’t know bisexuality was an option growing up, because I knew I was attracted to women, but I was still attracted to men and that sent me spiraling into all kinds of — [laughs] I had no idea what I was! You’re kind of torn between this world of gay and straight and you’re stuck in the middle and sometimes get shunned by both sides and feel there’s not really a place for you and it can be really hard. But it is very real and yes, I’m married to an amazing man [actor Jamie Bell], but that doesn’t change my sexuality, doesn’t change who I am. I entered into a monogamous relationship and it could have been with a woman.”
– Suit-loving sexpot Evan Rachel Wood is married to the male actor Jamie Bell, but she’s also been one of Hollywood’s most vocal bisexuals. Honestly, she sounds really awesome: instead of getting all huffy at people for their misconceptions, she uses her platform to educate people that bisexuals aren’t imaginary, or confused, or slutty. Unrelated: can we talk about how amazing her skin looks?! [AfterEllen]
Evan Rachel Wood was spotted on her way to the Sundance Film Festival in this plaid coat and beret. The newly married–and pregnant–star of “The Necessary Death of Charlie Countryman” looks comfy and warm. And that’s really all you could want when you’re snowed in at Sundance. [Jking/Fame/Flynet]
Marriage and pregnancy hasn’t stopped Evan Rachel Wood from having racy dreams about women. Her girl crush? Kristen Stewart. This week, the actress tweeted, “Had a dream I made out with Kristen Stewart. Good morning.” I think they would make a cute couple. [Just Jared]
Gay, straight, or whatever—every lady has a girl crush. Strangely enough, my girl crush has been Kate Winslet ever since I saw the movie “Heavenly Creatures” and fell in love with her. Guess Ned Rocknroll and I have the same taste in women — surely the three of us could work something out?
Anyway, click onward for more celebrity girl crushes — and tell us, who’s yours?
“Mildred Pierce” star Evan Rachel Wood is pregnant! The actress is expecting her first child with Jamie Bell, British actor and noted cunnilingus enthusiast. The couple wed last year in a secret ceremony following a year’s-long off-and-on relationship. I can’t be the only one secretly relieved she didn’t get knocked up by her ex-fiance Marilyn Manson, right? [US Weekly] [Photo: Getty]
Because of course she did. This is what Evan Rachel Wood does—alienate people and perpetuate stereotypes (no, I don’t know if that’s what she really does as in she makes a habit of it, but that’s what she did this time, and it was pretty fucking rude if you ask me). This is what ERW had to say on Twitter about Miley’s recent hair-chopping endeavor:
“I called it! Miley Cyrus is leaning toward gay.”
Of course, people predictably freaked out and said all sorts of things about Evan Rachel Wood and about the pot calling the kettle a lesbian or whatever else, and naturally, Evan went back to the Twitterverse and claimed that—of course, duh—people took her all wrong and that she was just kidding about the whole thing. The new movie “Ides of March” is all about two of the hottest dudes on earth – Ryan Gosling and George Clooney — teaming up to run a political campaign. But that didn’t stop the ladies of the film from dressing to the nines for the film’s premiere. Check out who won the race — and who made a poor showing at the polls — after the jump.
“It was just past midnight and I was dancing with my friends in Paris and, just boom, I caught an elbow right in the left side of my face. I knew right away when I closed my mouth that something was really wrong … I was quoting ‘The Hangover’ and I went, ‘Oh my God, I look like a nerdy hillbilly!’ But the person that did it was crying because they felt so bad … I’ll never forget my 24th birthday when my tooth got punched out. For a second I was like, it would be really hilarious if I sold it on eBay. But I can’t, that’s just too creepy. I don’t think I can go there.”
—Evan Rachel Wood tells reporters at the Venice Film Festival about losing her tooth while dancing at her birthday party. Apparently, she has already gotten a fake tooth to replace the busted one, but we kind of wish she’d pulled a Tara Reid and glued it back into place before continuing the partying.
