Two bones to pick this morning! 1) Excuse me, Fame/Flynet, but George is not Eva Mendes’ dog, as you have inaccurately labeled him. He is Ryan Gosling’s dog. Eva Mendes is a temporary dog walker. 2) And excuse me, Celebitchy, but Eva Mendes, dog walker, is not “hiding a baby bump.” Watch. Your. Mouth. Please.
Congrats to Ryan Gosling’s mom, Donna, who just got her teacher’s degree from Brock University! How wonderful. Ryan, who loves his mom so much that he usually brings her as his date to awards shows, went to Donna’s graduation and brought girlfriend Eva Mendes with him. Someone in the audience noticed and posted this photo to their Instagram. Look at how pissed my man is. I think his nostrils are flaring. Eva, on the other hand, is straight up gleeful. Let’s caption this photo with thought bubbles! Here are mine. [Dlisted]
I may be insanely jealous that she’s sexing my man Ryan Gosling, but I can still recognize that, in addition to amazing taste in men, Eva Mendes makes some awesome sartorial choices. I absolutely love the retro shape of this Honor frock that she wore to premiere of “Girl In Progress,” especially because the sheer halter neckline gives it a dose of modern sex appeal. Well played, indeed, foe of mine…
“It doesn’t matter what you have or what you look like. It’s something everyone has to work at. I realize I have contributed to a certain happy, healthy, empowered image, but that’s not all of me. I feel it’s important to let women know that I have similar struggles. What I tell girls is what they don’t like about themselves now, they will probably end up loving as an adult, because that’s what happened to me. When I am complimented on things that I didn’t like when I was 13, like my overbite and my mole, that’s when you realize that your imperfections are why people love you.”
– Eva Mendes is on the cover of the March issue of Marie Claire and, inside the mag, talks about her own body image evolution. I quite agree with her — in my list of “Style Resolutions I’ve Already Achieved,” I said that I had come to love and/or appreciate certain “flaws,” like my thin upper lip, thick brown hair, and butt and my overall self-esteem had reaped the rewards. (FYI, Eva also supposedly discussed a certain co-star/boyfriend with the magazine, but upon seeing his name at the link I shut my eyes really quick so as to not break my Goservention rules. Aren’t you proud of me? Please be proud of me. Without your pride, this torture is just not worth it.) [Just Jared]
J. Lo and Marc Anthony. Sniff. Kim Kardashian and Kris Humphries. Chin wobble. Demi and Ashton, no last names necessary. Sob! So many celebrity breakups this year, it’s almost as if it’s impossible for love to last in Tinseltown. But let’s stop being negative. Plenty of fun, new couples were formed in just the last few months — here’s a look at 12 couples to watch in 2012.
