Visit Model And Chanteuse Karen Elson’s Vintage Shop

Racked takes readers on a nifty pictorial tour through model, singer, and wife-of-Jack Black Karen Elson’s vintage shop in Nashville, Tennessee, Venus and Mars. The store, which is located in a house, is filled with a cornucopia of eclectic old school items, from cheetah clutches to men’s suspenders, day-glo jumpers to thrift store art, summer hats to gold pumps. The showroom, which opened in 2008, is the brainchild of Elson and Amy Patterson. “The aim of the store is to encourage shoppers to think that vintage isn’t just an old hand-me-down,” Elson explains, “but a one-of-a-kind garment with a wonderful story.” You don’t have to make the trek to Nashville to shop there, though; they’ve got a Venus and Mars storefront on Etsy. Jeans For The Less Traditional Bride

Finally, I’ve found something to wear to my wedding! Amazingly, this stunning vision in denim–called “Chandelier Crystal Feather rosebud jeans” and filed in Etsy’s Bridal section–has not landed on the hallowed pages of Regretsy, yet. Thanks to BuzzFeed, they are making the internet rounds today though, and after checking out the deets on the original listing, we were almost as shocked by the totally fair price of $925.00 (!) as we were by the full-scale version of the jeans in all their glitzy glory as seen on the model, after the jump!
