This week Emmy Rossum tweeted about a really AWKWARD run-in with her gynecologist. The uncomfie part, in my opinion, was not running into the person who has an intimate relationship with her cervix, but not recognizing him. This begs the question: what was she doing last time she got a pap smear that she didn’t remember the man in her vagina? [Huffington Post]
I have no idea what Emmy Rossum is doing these days — television actress? lounge singer? used car salesperson? — but man, if she doesn’t look crazy good while doing it. Emmy served up street style to perfection two days in a row, first in a glamorous, equestrian-inspired blazer-and-boots look and then in a ladylike spotted blouse and leather skirt combo. If dressing well off-duty is the only thing she’s got going on in her career these days, then, well, she’s performing just fabulously. [Photo: Fame/Flynet]
So, I’ve finally decided to succumb to peer pressure and watch the TV show “Shameless,” starring William H. Macy and the lovely lady above, Emmy Rossum. Rossum has always struck me as one of those celebs who is inexplicably famous — minimal IMDB activity and dating a has-been rock star (Adam Duritz from the Counting Crows) does not usually make one a household name. Anyway, perhaps “Shameless” will change my current opinion of Rossum. Until then, I will happily admit to loving this outfit of hers, which I can’t wait to copycat the second spring decides to arrive (as I write this, snow is coming down outside, so it may be a while). Find out how to get the whole look after the jump! Keep reading »
Even if you hate Emmy Rossum (which seems to be a popular pastime), it’s easy to love this gorgeous ensemble she wore out in NYC recently. A delicate lace dress, long black overcoat, and pop of color purse? Yes, please! Want to steal her style for yourself? We’ve got all the pieces after the jump… Keep reading »
“They didn’t want to see me; they wouldn’t even [let me] audition. They thought my image too glamorous, that I couldn’t not be pretty.”
– There might have been a way for Emmy Rossum to convey that the “Shameless” producers didn’t originally think she was edgy enough for the role of Fiona. Perhaps by simply saying so?
Instead, we’ve got our first (glamorous) foot-in-(too pretty)-mouth celebrity quote of 2013! [Manhattan Magazine]
Emmy Rossum is disconcertingly insufferable in that never-turns-down-a-party-invitation, thinks-she’s-way-more-famous-than-she-actually-is Lea Michele way that makes me want to be like, “Go home, Emmy Rossum.” (Oh, and she dated Adam Duritz, which ew.) Admittedly, she does have a pretty good voice, which she showcased to much acclaim in “The Phantom of the Opera,” but with a cover like this and a name like “Sentimental Journey,” what self-respecting person would ever purchase her new album?
