Quickies: Emma Watson Calls Brown Bullying BS & Zooey Deschanel Knocks Off The Frisky!

  • Emma Watson posted a message to the media and her fans on her personal web site to say rumors she is leaving Brown because she was cruelly teased by students is untrue. “I have never been bullied in my life and certainly never at Brown. This ’10 points to Gryffindor’ incident [a "Harry Potter" reference that kids supposedly said when Emma answered a question correctly] never even happened,” Emma wrote. “I feel the need to say this because accusing Brown students of something as serious as bullying and this causing me to leave seems beyond unfair.” Emma said she’s not sure if she’ll be turning to Brown in the fall because she hasn’t decided yet and requested people stop speculating. Emma Watson Turned To Her Co-Stars For Help Decoding Men

“When I was on the set with Daniel and Rupert, it was normally me who went to the guys with the questions about guys because I don’t pretend to understand the male gender. I’m just like, ‘What is going on here? What should I be doing? I don’t understand.’ So they’ve helped me out a bit and been like my protective big brothers.”

Emma Watson tells Parade magazine that it was mighty handy to have Daniel Radcliffe and Rupert Grint around on the set of the “Harry Potter” series. Wait, does this mean her boyfriend George Craig, of the band One Night Only, isn’t the perfect specimen we imagined? [People] Keep reading »

Emma Watson Accidentally Asked For A Condom In Class

“I had no idea, and please excuse me, that you guys call a condom a rubber. My version of a rubber is like an eraser, so I’ve done that. I’ve very loudly asked for a rubber … that was embarrassing.”

Emma Watson tells David Letterman about how British slang got her in trouble at Brown. I’m sure the college boys are utterly charmed when she asks for a “plastic,” “rubber,” or a “snog.” [Celebitchy] Keep reading »

Style Inspiration: Get Ready For Emma Watson’s Jane Birkin-Themed Line

Emma Watson has already exercised her fashion design muscle—the “Harry Potter” star debuted her skills with a collection for the fair trade clothing company People Tree. It was this work that attracted designer Alberta Ferretti to Watson, and Ferretti has apparently now enlisted the young actress to create a line with her. Although Ferretti is high-fashion, Watson is still putting an emphasis on do-gooding. She says, “I will put it out there that I will work for anyone for free if they are prepared to make their clothing fair trade organic.” So far details are scant: We do know that the range will be inspired by Jane Birkin, boho ’60s songstress and sexy wife to French crooner Serge Gainsbourg. We already worship Birkin as a style icon, so Watson has clearly made a good choice. Can’t wait for Emma’s collection? Put together your own look with these Birkin-inspired pieces, after the jump!
