At first I was a little concerned about Emma Stone’s first song choice in last night lip sync battle against Jimmy Fallon on “The Tonight Show.” Blues Traveler? Really? But I forgot about the rap breakdown on “Hook,” and how ridiculous it is, so maybe Emma was on to something. Jimmy started off slow with Iggy Azalea, but Styx’s “Mr. Roboto” was a worthy second choice. But Emma reigned triumphant with her second song, “All I Do Is Win” by DJ Khaled, totally nailing the Ludacris rap. You know what I would like to see next? An all-stars battle between Emma and Paul Rudd. Make it happen, Fallon. [HyperVocal]
I’m suddenly majorly regretting our family’s decision to get rid of my grandma’s retro-riffic wardrobe after her passing because I just know it was full of dramatic tie-neck blouses in crazy prints and stripes. Then I really could have emulated Emma Stone’s look above, since blouses like hers are kind of hard to come by. Instead I settled on a button-up with similar vertical stripes and picked out a pair of black pumps with some special details around the toe and ankle. Topping everything off with a cropped tuxedo jacket and skinny jeans makes this graphic look even more modern. Get the look after the jump! Keep reading »
To quote my friend Greg, who sent me the link to this video of Emma Stone and Andrew Garfield dancing to “Bamboleo” on BBC Radio 1, “If Andrew Garfield’s tiny little dancing hips don’t turn your day around, nothing will.” [YouTube]
Emma Stone has met a lot of celebrity royalty in her lifetime. You’d think that someone who’s rubbed elbows with so many A-listers would never get starstruck, but it turns out Emma has an inner fangirl … for the Spice Girls. I guess it makes sense — the Spice Girls were huge back when Emma was in middle school and high school. The Girls are still spicing up her life, though, because during an interview with an Australian radio station, they played a message that Mel B, AKA Scary Spice, recorded just for her. Emma, adorably, started to cry. You can take a girl out of the ’90s, but you can’t take the ’90s out of the girl! [Vogue UK]
Before Jennifer Lawrence usurped the title of “Gorgeous Actress Everyone Wants To Be BFF With,” it belonged to Emma Stone. She’s smart, hilarious, beautiful, sassy, stylish — can you blame me for having “brunch with Emma” on my bucket list? Emma’s casual style is laid back and a little hipster-y (hello, skinny jeans and Ray-Bans). Let’s take a look at 10 of her recent looks for a little fashion inspiration, shall we? But be warned: clicking through this slideshow will definitely cause you to want to buy an oversized coat and a really fabulous pair of ankle boots immediately.
