Before Jennifer Lawrence usurped the title of “Gorgeous Actress Everyone Wants To Be BFF With,” it belonged to Emma Stone. She’s smart, hilarious, beautiful, sassy, stylish — can you blame me for having “brunch with Emma” on my bucket list? Emma’s casual style is laid back and a little hipster-y (hello, skinny jeans and Ray-Bans). Let’s take a look at 10 of her recent looks for a little fashion inspiration, shall we? But be warned: clicking through this slideshow will definitely cause you to want to buy an oversized coat and a really fabulous pair of ankle boots immediately.
The world can be broken down into three types of people:
- Those who do air travel in their pajamas. These people usually bring their own bed pillow and occasionally even tote a stuffed animal and wear slippers.
- Those who fly dressed to the nines, tight jeans, stiletto boots and all. Think the Kardashians at their most Kardashian and then some.
- And those who dress casual and comfy but still cute.
I think it’s pretty clear which type Emma Stone is. Get this particular casual, comfy and cute look for yourself, after the jump! Keep reading »
Cosmopolitan: What makeup do you think guys like on a girl?
Emma Stone: I could care less. I think women should wear whatever makeup they want for themselves. Makeup should be fun.
– Well said, Emma Stone. Well said. [Cosmopolitan]
But not quite, of course. Sure, I ran 12 city blocks — in heels — to stand next to him in front of Whole Foods. Yeah, I’m working on a rom-com screenplay about my crush on him. And I definitely am alone in having to suffer through a Goservention. But still, it has come to my attention that I — okay, and tens of thousands of regular folks — am not the only one who has a major boner for Ryan Gosling. Quite a few celebrities — including otherwise straight men — have a special place in their hearts (and spank banks) for the Gos. Read on for some unadulterated Gosling worship… Keep reading »
If one strategically overlooks the critical donut hair situation as I have chosen to do, Emma Stone looks lovely. Fresh, glowing skin, flattering LBD, simple black pumps, a rad fluoro pink lip that says “Spring is coming!” 10 times better than any groundhog ever could — all very nice. However. Is there anything more distracting than a pair of sheer, billowy wings to ruin an otherwise perfectly good look? Those sleeves are seriously large, and they take this simple Gucci dress with its retro silhouette and drive it straight into “queen of the bat cave” territory. I wish I liked it more than I do. What do you think?
I really love Emma Stone and think she is both the cutest and coolest, but I am still not feeling this red-on-red-on-red ensemble (she wore bright red pumps, as well). Too much stuff! But then, she is wearing maybe the world’s most amazing statement necklace. Who needs an oversized crystal flower on their dress when they are wearing the world’s most amazing statement necklace? I want to think that Emma’s hair and makeup looks faaaaaabulous, but I also have this bangs pathology and the way she’s wearing hers reminds me of when Kim Cattrall had the same straight-down wispy bangs and rounded blowout in “Sex and the City,” which is a very late ’90s look. Or, alternatively, Britney Spears circa now. Am I being unfair? Am I just radiating highly contagious jealousy around these parts since Ryan Gosling is always talking about how much he loves Emma and how much fun they have together? Mayhaps. Keep reading »
Have you ever style-morphed with a friend? Like, you both start out with distinctly different fashion senses, but then you get inspired by the way your friend cuffs her jeans, and she simply must have that polka dot sweater you’re wearing, and suddenly you have to plan ahead in order to not show up wearing the exact same outfit everywhere you go? BFFs Emma Stone and Taylor Swift are totally style-morphing, as you can see from this side-by-side comparison of their recent outfits (in case you can’t tell, that’s Emma on the left and Taylor on the right). I’m pretty sure Emma was rocking the nerdy hipster look first, but Taylor has really made it her own lately, rocking skinny jeans, oxfords, and wayfarer sunglasses for appearances around the globe. The famous friends’ matching blonde hairstyles really take the “twinsies!” look to the next level. [Photos: Fame/Flynet]
“My hair is a battle. It’s an uphill, fine, baby-haired battle. It’s bone-straight and I have some pieces that my hairstylist stuck in my hair right now because if she didn’t you could see my ears through my hair right now. I mean, not to brag. There’s not much going on there. … I have weak nails, weak hair, weak skin and a weak bicep. What can I say?”
― When celebrities discuss their beauty routines, it’s usually in roundabout terms that come down to, “buy this new product I don’t actually use from this brand I’m being paid more than your gross life earnings per year to endorse!” But leave it to Emma Stone to be all at once candid (she says that she doesn’t wear lipstick on her own time because she tends to eat it), self-deprecatingly funny (she refers to her spotty skincare regimen as “very promiscuous”), and not shoving something in your face, all while schilling for Revlon. How in the world does she do it? [Glamour]
Oh, to be Emma Stone. You’re in awesome movies, you have a job that requires you make out with Ryan Gosling, and you get to go home to Andrew Garfield. Also, you get access to incredible designers before the rest of us. At Wednesday’s Revlon Nearly Naked Makeup Launch, Stone wore a dress by “Project Runway” fave Daniel Vosovic, whose collection is totally not available in stores. I know, because Amelia is obsessed with this dress, and I tried to track it down for her. But alas, Daniel is “runway only” at the moment. So in the meantime, we’ll just have to admire it, and her, from afar. [Photo: Getty]
