Kate Hudson Is Very Pregnant Under There

Don’t be fooled by the sheet. Kate Hudson was nine months preggers when she posed for this spread in the September issue of Elle magazine. And as she rolled around, showcasing assorted baubles and jewels, she definitely had impending motherhood on her brain. “[My mom, Goldie Hawn] never hands out unsolicited preachy words of wisdom,” said Kate. “My parents allowed my brother and I to have our freedom and be ourselves and feel confident in our choices and to make mistakes without too much judgment. I hope that I can do as good a job.” [Elle]

Gwyneth Paltrow Never Takes Her Marriage To Chris Martin For Granted

“[Chris is] a musical genius. It’s like living with Picasso and being like, ‘Should I make a little something-something?’ … Sometimes it’s hard being with someone for a long time. We go through periods that aren’t all rosy. I always say, life is long and you never know what’s going to happen. If, God forbid, we were ever not to be together, I respect him so much as the father of my children. Like, I made such a good choice. He’s such a good dad. You can never be relaxed or smug and think, ‘I’ve got this thing.’ That’s also part of it: keeping yourself on your toes. I’m not going to take this for granted.”

Gwyneth Paltrow dishes to Elle about starting a fledgling music career, about running her website/newsletter GOOP, and of course about her rock star husband, Chris Martin of Coldplay. Make it reason number 11 we like Gwyneth. She seems to have a really down-to-earth perspective on love and marriage. [PopSugar] Keep reading »

Someone Really Needs To Stop James Franco

James Franco will not quit. This time? He’s added fashion photographer to his credit, shooting a spread for Elle magazine featuring friend and fellow beautiful person Agyness Deyn. Jesus Christ, Franco, will you leave some jobs for the rest of us, buddy? Has anybody looked into the possibility that James Franco may be responsible for the rise in unemployment because he is TAKING ALL THE JOBS? Blergh. Check out his handiwork after the jump. Rachel McAdams’ Parents Spoiled Her Love Life

“[My parents are] still together and still in love. I’m very blessed that way. I had a great example of love in front of me, and that’s probably what makes me such a romantic, because I’ve seen it firsthand … You grow up and you assume that everyone is like that, and you quickly realize that they’re not, and then you have those days when you wonder if you’re going to find it for yourself. It’s such a hard thing to find. I think it was more that realization that rocked me.”

Rachel McAdams talks love and marriage in the latest issue of Elle. I can relate to Rachel’s sentiment. My parents and grandparents are all still married and in love. It seems like no one does that anymore or even believes in it. I know I am doubtful at times and that makes me sad. But what is even sadder is the realization that not many other people are even striving for that. I often feel like I have to lower my expectations just to give love a shot. Damn you, happily married parents! [Celebitchy] Keep reading »

Gwen Stefani’s Middle Name Is “Vain”

“I’m very vain. That would be my middle name. Of course I am, you know what I mean? I love the visual.”

Gwen Stafani in the May issue of Elle. I don’t know exactly what she means. Is she saying she loves the visual of herself? Or that she is obsessed with the way things look? I don’t think that necessarily makes you vain. It’s lovely that Gwen is willing to cop to her vanity, but I’ve always thought she comes off as down to Earth — even though she always looks impeccable. I strive to master that skill. I guess I’m vain too. [Elle] Keep reading »

Photoshop Disasters: Just Giraffe-in Around

This Danish Elle magazine cover model (the one on the right) seems to possess quite an amazing neck. Perhaps she’s one of those special giraffe girls, born with an especially long retractable spine. Or, more likely, she’s just been Photoshopped within an inch of her life. [Photoshop Disasters] Keep reading »

Amanda Seyfried Compares Herself To Meryl Streep

“Meryl [Streep] makes herself very accessible right away, almost too accessible. That’s what I do. And it totally works. My thing about meeting people—men, women, people in general—is to desensitize them, kind of shock them a little bit, to make myself accessible.”

Amanda Seyfried on how to win friends and influence people in Elle. Does that apply to animals too? Is that what she’s doing with this duck, making herself accessible to it? She has that “I just shocked a duck” expression. She’s no Meryl Streep. I’m almost offended by the comparison. [Elle] Keep reading »

The Ladies Of “Skins” Show Some Skin In Elle

Considering that those PG photos of the Gleeks in GQ caused such a ruckus, I’m wondering if these images of the ladies of MTV’s “Skins” in the new issue of Elle will get any backlash. Sure, they’re reasonably covered—part of a spread on incorporating underwear into outerwear—but the actresses seen here are 17 and 16, respectively. What do you think? Pretty pictures fitting for a show where sex comes up once a minute, or too little clothing considering their age? [Elle] Keep reading »

“The City”‘s Erin Moving To Teen Vogue

Our favorite character on MTV’s series “The City” was never super saccharine Whitney Port or hyper-villainous Olivia Palermo–it was Elle PR head Erin Kaplan. Kaplan’s side-eye glare and over-boiled frustration said what we all felt about Palermo’s conniving ways. Well, now she’s got a new gig — as head PR honcho at Teen Vogue. The switch over to Vogue‘s younger sis publication comes on the heels of talk that Teen Vogue may be debuting a reality series of its own. [Fashionista] Keep reading »

Katie Holmes’ Elle Cover Boasts Her Now-Cancelled Miniseries

Katie Holmes graces the cover of February’s Elle magazine, alongside the cover line, “On Tom, Suri, and coming back to TV—as Jackie O.” Only, as we reported yesterday, Katie’s miniseries “The Kennedys” has been indefinitely shelved by The History Channel. That’s a little awkward. [PopWrap] Keep reading »
