So far I have been all for the “Twilight” takeover. When Lewis Carroll penned the line, “The time has come the walrus said,” I am sure he was referring to the “Twilight” episode of “Oprah.” Right? Well, the special has been plugged for a while and got its biggest push this week when rumors erupted that Kristen Stewart was having Robert Pattinson’s baby. I think most Twi-hards haven’t stopped squealing since—the ones in Oprah’s studio audience certainly hadn’t. To any true “Twihard,” getting to see “Eclipse” months before opening night is far better than getting a shiny new car. So, naturally, Oprah decided to treat a very lucky studio audience—who also got to watch her interview Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart, Dakota Fanning, and Taylor Lautner—to a special advance screening of the movie which doesn’t open until June 30. (Her show with the film’s stars airs May 13.)

Adam Lambert has garnered heaps of attention lately, what with his on-stage gay kiss, the blurring out of said kiss by CBS’s “Early Show,” dis-invitation to “Good Morning America,” and subsequent media frenzy. If he gets his way, he’ll triangulate even more focus his way. In an interview with MTV, he explained that he’d really love to see an unused track from his new album find its way to “maybe Twilight.” The reason the song was discarded — “too campy, too theatrical.” The Twi-hards are gonna love that. Lambert’s frothy sexuality and “Twilight”‘s hot, girl-focused abstinence could be perfect together, though I’m not too sure the sparkly vampire set would agree. [MTV UK] Keep reading »
