Okay, it’s official. Diane von Furstenberg has had the very first NYFW collection where I’ve loved EVERY single piece.
Maybe it’s because I’m super into animal prints right now or because the radio has been playing Katy Perry’s “Roar” every five fucking seconds, but DVF’s safari-themed pieces are just what the doctor ordered.
“What I’m hoping is that people feel joie de vivre, happiness, and beauty in a world that is so rough, so unpredictable, and scary,” the designer said before her show. Mission accomplished. These clothes make me happy. I feel like I can rule the damn world in jungle-chic ensembles that bring out my inner wild child. But I still don’t know which one I want (hypothetically, because let’s be serious—I ain’t made of money)…

Can you make a stay in the hospital fashionable? Diane von Furstenberg was willing to try when the Cleveland Clinic enlisted her expertise to redesign the classic hospital gown. In classic DvF style, she slapped an iconic print on her design, made them reversible, and incorporated a wrap construction (of course). The design also doesn’t expose the butt like standard hospital gowns, but instead allows the patient to reveal certain parts of the body without being completely exposed. So far, the Cleveland Clinic reports that patients are generally enthusiastic about the change.
