Yesterday, we told you about a story coming out of Yellowstone County, Montana: A teacher who’d repeatedly raped his 14-year-old student received a 15-year suspended sentence and was ordered to spend just 31 days in prison. Why? Because, ruled Judge G. Todd Baugh, the victim “seemed older than her chronological age.” At the time of the crimes, Stacey Dean Rambold was 49, and an authority figure in the girl’s high school.
According to Judge Baugh, that didn’t matter, though, because the way the girl — whom Baugh had never even met or interviewed — acted was much more mature (i.e. slutty) than what Baugh considers an average 14-year-old to be. Now the judge is coming under fire for not only the insanely light sentence he gave to Rambold, but also for comments he made regarding the sexual and emotional status of the victim. Not only did Judge Baugh say that he believed the victim was much older than her age, he also asserted in his ruling that the victim was “as much in control of the situation” as her rapist.
Oh, but that’s not all! Keep reading »
Supposedly, season five of “Celebrity Rehab” will be Dr. Drew Pinsky’s last. While the show hasn’t been officially cancelled, it is said to be going on “indefinite hiatus,” and we can just guess what that means. It’s been a very rough year for “Celebrity Rehab” alums. Two of Dr. Drew’s former patients on the show died as a result of their struggles with addiction—Alice in Chains guitarist Mike Starr and “Grease” actor Jeff Conway. Dr. Drew and his staff are mourning these deaths and have vowed to continue to help other celebs get clean and sober.
Five episodes of season five have aired so far, and they have been intense, to say the least. This season features an all-star cast with all-star addictions: Michael Lohan, Long Island Lolita Amy Fisher, Chinese actress Bai Ling, former baseball star Dwight “Doc” Gooden, “Survivor” castaway Jessica “Sugar” Kiper, actress (and Director’s Guild Gala heckler) Sean Young, “Baywatch” hunk Jeremy Jackson, and former Guns N’ Roses drummer Steven Adler, who happens to be a two-time Celebrity Rehabber. The season has us glued to the screen. After the jump, the top five moments that have gone down so far. May they inspire you to set your DVR. Keep reading »

Today on “Oprah,” the talk show host continued on her sex kick, discussing sex addiction with Dr. Drew Pinsky. He brought along three of his patients from VH1′s “Sex Rehab,” including Jennie Ketcham, who, before being treated by Pinsky, was a porn star who went by the name Penny Flame. She told Oprah how she’s been doing since leaving rehab — she no longer works in porn and goes by her birth name now, penning a blog about her recovery called “Becoming Jennie.”
Now that she’s in recovery, Ketcham tells Oprah she’s seeing less and less of the monster she thought she had inside. Clip above. Keep reading »
