Hippie mama Drew Barrymore appeared on “Good Morning America” in this flowy bohemian outfit to promote her new makeup line, “Flower” (which Jessica is already obsessed with–stay tuned for a Beauty Test Drive!). I really like the pleated skirt paired with ankle boots, but that top is way too shapeless for my taste. What do you think?
Comedian Billy Eichner is super funny. In this clip from his new show “Billy On The Street,” Billy interviews the great Will Ferrell … about Drew Barrymore. After all, aren’t we always worried about what D-Barrs is up to, really? [YouTube]
“It’s embarrassing to go through any rebellious stage in front of people that you love and respect, and yet I’m glad I did. I’m glad I lived such a full life before I settled down into a family, because I got to enjoy it and get it out of my system.”
–Drew Barrymore tells Allure magazine that she doesn’t regret her very public wild child phase (which included a trip to rehab at age 13 and a legendary bra-less moment on the “Late Show With David Letterman”), because it prepared her to be a calmer and more present mother to her daughter, Olive, who was born this September. “I’m finally a part of a family,” she adds, “and it’s a miracle.” Awww!
I’m curious to hear from some other moms and moms-to-be about the point in your lives you had kids (or when you ideally want to have kids), and if you agree with Drew. I’ve always thought that it’s good to pack your pre-kid years full of as many crazy adventures as possible, but I’ve seen many of the younger moms in my life–the ones who might have “missed out” on that rebellious stage–become really amazing mothers. Thoughts? [Allure]
Now, she’s a mother and wife. But that wasn’t always the case for Drew Barrymore. Before meeting husband Will Kopelman, the actress was in a serious, five-year relationship with The Strokes’ drummer Fabrizio Moretti. After they split in 2006, Barrymore didn’t expect him to one day be dating one of her girlfriends!
Moretti is currently dating “Bridesmaids” star Kristen Wiig, who also happens to be one of Barrymore’s close friends (and someone who does hilarious impressions of the “Whip It” director on “SNL”). So, how does Barrymore feel? Read more…
God love Drew Barrymore. She takes this method acting thing for serious. Here she is, preparing for a role in what we can only imagine will be a rollicking expose on the hard-living, hard-drinking rock bands of the ’80s. At least, that’s what we’re hoping, because that’s the only logical explanation for this trainwreck of an outfit. [Photo: Fame/Flynet]
Drew Barrymore has given birth to her first child, a daughter that she and husband Will Kopelman named Olive. The baby was actually born last Wednesday (how did they manage to keep her birth a secret for a whole five days?!) but waited to announce until today, saying she is “healthy, happy and welcomed by the whole family.” Congrats to all three of them! Drew Barrymore just got married for the third time — to art dealer Will Kopelman — and has a long dating history in Hollywood. But I was totally surprised to learn she once went on a date with Christian Bale (pre-”Dark Knight” and well-known rage issues). ”We went to see some bloody awful horror film, and that was the end of it,” Bale told GQ Australia. [Us Weekly]
I’m kind of bummed things didn’t go further with these two. Going out with Bale again could have been a real “Sliding Doors” moment for them both; would she have gone through her flower child/boob-flashing phase if she had fallen in love with him? Run around with Courtney Love? Would his career have taken a backseat to hers, like that of so many of her previous boyfriends? Maybe getting turned down by Drew is what set Bale on the path towards becoming Batman!
This got me thinking about other celeb couples that might have been. Here are nine other pairs that are rumored to have gone out once or twice, but never made it official. Let’s imagine what might have been if they had…
I can already predict the chorus of “love it!” and “hate it!” responses to Drew Barrymore’s choice of wedding dress. It’s conservative, but it’s also Chanel. I can’t knock it. But most importantly — her bouquet is made up of peonies! So jealz. [People via Celeb Dirty Laundry]
Celebrities seem to be practically required to launch their own alcohol lines these days, and Drew Barrymore is the latest to enter the game. Her Barrymore 2011 Pinot Grigio, already available in California and coming to New York next month, won a gold medal earlier this month at France’s biggest international wine competition, reports the New York Post—which also helpfully reminds us that Barrymore was an admitted alcoholic at the age of 13.
