This Thursday and Friday, Ronaiah Tuiasosopo, the man who confessed to “catfishing” Manti Te’o, will appear on “Dr. Phil” to talk about the hoax. Dr. Phil appeared on”The Today Show” this morning to discuss the interview and said that when he asked Tuiasosopo why he posed as Lennay Kekua, he attributed it to romantic feelings for Te’o:

“Here we have a young man that fell deeply, romantically in love … I ask him straight up … was this a romantic relationship with you? And he says, ‘Yes.’ … I said, are you then, therefore, gay?  And he says, ‘Well, when you put it that way, yes … I am confused.”

A little later today, Dr. Phil is interviewing former “America’s Next Top Model” contestant turned meth addict Jael Strauss, but I’m almost more excited for his interview next week with Dina Lohan. By the looks of this preview, Lindsay’s mom is straight up sauced for her tete-a-tete with the tough-talking “doctor” — she even taunts him for his “little tie and little shoes.” Dr. Phil don’t play that, so I expect his shouts of “Get real!” are to blame for all those tears. This family is a disaster. It’s no wonder LiLo has been so wrecked.

We were totally shocked when we saw former “America’s Next Top Model” contest Jael Strauss — who’d appeared on Cycle 8 of the series — would be appearing on a “Dr. Phil” episode devoted to her drug abuse. Since appearing on the series six years ago, Jael’s life has taken a severely downward slide. She’s been addicted to meth, and her family begs her to get help during a harrowing Dr. Phil intervention. Jael hardly looks like the beautiful girl she was just six short years ago — with pockmarked skin and bleached blond locks, she appears much older and worn out than most other 28-year-olds.

We wish her the best and hope that Thursday’s episode of “Dr. Phil” gets her the help she needs. Jael is hardly the only reality TV star to slide into addiction — let’s review…

“[Dr. Phil's wife got pregnant unexpectedly at a time in his life when he was not ready to have children.] I was doing work in another city with a good friend of mine. He said, ‘The office closes at five – why don’t you come in and we’ll do your vasectomy?” He didn’t have a nurse there, so I actually assisted him by handing him the instruments. We’ve heard some dumb things said on Dr. Phil, but his recent guest Dick Masterson takes the cake. Trust us, his name is no misnomer. He’s the chauvinist who runs MenAreBettertThanWomen.com and he goes around spouting gems like, “How is prostitution illegal but alimony isn’t? They’re basically the same thing.
