At my boutique job, I see a lot of guys shopping with their wives and girlfriends. Some of them are amazing shopping partners, helping their ladies pick out cute dresses and offering helpful feedback in the dressing room. Some of them are completely disengaged, plopping down on a chair immediately upon entering the store and grunting one-syllable responses when prompted, never looking up from their iPhones. And the rest are … less than pleasant: sighing dramatically, making snide comments, complaining constantly. Listen, you don’t have to love going shopping (lord knows we hate it half the time), but if you do agree to accompany your lady to the mall, you might as well try to make the best of it. Here are a few dos and don’ts to help you be the best shopping partner you can be… Keep reading »
You’re an adult, you’re not a baby. So if you’re going to wear overalls, wear adult overalls, not weird baby overalls that will make you look like you crapped your pants or something. Conversely, wear them too tight and you just look uncomfortable. To me, the perfect overalls outfit would be loosely worn ‘alls, rolled up on the bottom with heels and a simple striped tank. The Duchess of Cambridge and I haven’t always seen eye to eye when it comes to fashion, but I’ve come to respect her more subdued style — and I understand that she’s got to rep for England, the Queen and British designers, so she’s got to be a bit more conservative than I normally like.
Now that she’s preggers, she’s going to have a whole new bunch of wardrobe challenges to contend with. That’s why we’ve assembled this collection of maternity-wear dos and don’ts, especially for the princess.
I think leggings confuse a lot of people, right? First off, leggings are in that netherworld between pants and tights, but people confuse them for one another all the time. You will never catch me in a jumpsuit. Never ever. Mostly because I like to know that I can get out of my clothes quickly if I really need to pee. But those are my priorities. Jumpsuits can be totally cute! We’ve got some handy rules for wearing a jumpsuit with aplomb.
It’s hard to willingly endorse the one-night stand because it either goes one way or another: a one-nighter can be blissful, but it can also be a cringe-inducing horror. While a lot of things can go wrong with your quickie, most of the problems will occur during the aftermath—the morning after, and maybe even the few days after that. Here, some things that you just. shouldn’t. ever. do. Keep reading »

I’m not going to lie and say I have never hooked up with a coworker. I have. That said, I don’t think it’s a particularly good idea. Ladies, we need people to take us seriously at work, glass ceiling be damned. If you are dating the dude who sits at the other end of the office, chances are, he’s admiring your legs rather than the speed at which you typed up that report. But while I don’t think one-night stands or friends with benefits are good for the office, romance happens. So, what if you develop real feelings for one of your coworkers?
